Brent Barry has too go. Cut him. Invoke the Allan Houston rule. Do whatever. He better not be a Spur next fucking year.

Ummm, trade him. He has an expiring contract and could bring some veteran poise to a team lacking such things. There is at least some value to that (see Erik Williams).

veteran poise
I felt he kind of killed us when he kept shooting up 3's that never went in, but also I see that he was trying to get rythmn. Hopefully he just finds his shot.
I just want to see him understand that when you're up 20 in the fourth quarter, and your team gets an offensive rebound, you don't need to be shooting again with more than twenty seconds on the damn shot clock.
Pull it out, reset, and run some clock.

Huge mental block. I still believe in him.
Remember how it had a mode which always allowed the team that was way behind to make a comeback, so the games would appear competitive?
The same thing exists in real life. It's called "Brent Barry."
:spin hey we still won....
maybe he can make some more meaningless threes, teams will get impressed, and get suckered and fall for it and go for him.
If this was in Cleveland, then we would have lost.Quote:

Oh well. 2-0.
[whottt]He singlehandedly prevented the Spurs from taking Game 3 lightly. You can't buy the value that sort of contribution brings. [/whottt]
He seemed to play better on the move and involved in the offense instead of just standing still. Sure would like to have his jumper back...
I don't get it.
Can't ever please, can he?
You rip him if he passes up the shot, and you rip him if he takes them (knowing that a good percentage for 3 pt shooting is around 35%, or just better than 1 of every 3).
Aggie has a point about taking the shot early in the possession, but other than that, he was doing what he was supposed to do.
And the reason he got the minutes was that he outplayed Finley in the first half.
It's called the "rubber band effect" where you can go only so far until the computer pulls you in, starts cheating and makes comebacks.
Brent Barry and Jacque Vaughn are the rubber bands.
I guess you need a 30 point lead when Barry is on your team. Oh well. 2-0.
I need more bricks for my custom house.
You mean the new strip mall.
Nice duplicate thread though.
:tu
Hey, Brent's made some big plays in the past. Nobody is perfect all the time. It's a team. When one or two guys have an off night, it is up to the others to lift them back up. Everybody is needed at some time during a championship run and Brent is still important to this team.
He's supposed to ignite a huge Cleveland run?Quote:

Leaving him in so that Cleveland would make it close and spook the Spurs was a brilliant coaching move by Pop.
Yes. He has a highly valuable expiring contract next year.Quote:

The only good thing he did so far was that nice assist to Elson... he needs to stop shooting bricks or airballs, that's all...
Bad decision to leave Vaughn and Brent in so long.
I don't know if Pop would try to do anything risky in an NBA Finals game, but having Manu and Barry as the wings attempting to stop LeBron is a sure fire way to make a 29 point lead disappear and reinstall the "appropriate fear".
:hat
man........Brent was pushing his game so hard.
Let it come, there's only a few more games.
Talk to RHorry, he looked like he was playing for a contract tonight, and he made the most of his oncourt contributions.
Barry is shooting a staggering 26.7% from three for the playoffs.
but but hes a huge big game player - WhotttQuote:
