Never uncontested, besides when Lebron easily got by him in the post.
Bowen hit wide open threes, what he's done his entire career. Congrats.
He also intentionally fouled Lebron, but the refs ate their whistles. Joke.

I always had faith in the real DPOY of the past 5 seasons.
The MVP of this series IMO, mainly because he has the toughest assignment of anyone on the basketball court and has made Lebron James a non-factor. Period!
Crown him.
#12 BRUCE BOWEN :king
Never. That's just ridiculous.
Bowen has one assignment and one assignment only: shut down LeBron. He's been successful, I give him that.
LeBron, on the other hand, has assignments Bowen will never ever have to worry about. He doesn't have to lead a very mediocre team. He is not even the best player on his team. He doesn't have an entire CITY on his shoulders. LeBron is the playmaker AND the finisher. Bowen doesn't have to do nearly as much.
Bowen is one heck of a defender, but to say that he is better than LeBron James is just not being smart.
But Lebron can dunk better than Bowen. That makes him great.
He can dunk.
Yeah, i think we're talking apples and oranges here.Quote:

I'm not sure that "Bowen is better than LeBron" is accurate -- just that Bowen has successfully shut down the "playmaker and finisher."Quote:

Too bad you can't see that in the Finals. :smokinQuote:

He's psyched out, that's all. The Spurs are a different team in the playoffs. In the regular season they play well enough to secure their standing in the playoffs, at which time they kick it into gear. That's one thing that's not fully understood by many other than Spurs fans.Quote:

You continue to impress me with your class. Thanks. As hard as I try to be respectful of Spurs fans, some just find a way to take my words to heart and attack me as if I'm talking so much shit about the Spurs.Quote:

We're not talking about Dirk....Quote:

I don't see you talking shit at all. I don't think I'd exhibit as much class were the situation reversed.
And btw, thanks for the kind words.
CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG????
Nahhh!!!!!!!!
:lol :lol :lol

So you post links referring to 'outside of this series'? Is that supposed to impress me?
Do you know how many links I could post of the Spurs winning championships against the pussy-ass conference in which your team plays?
Think about this.
The San Antonio Spurs in the finals: 3-0, soon to be 4-0.
That's finishing
The Cleveland Cavaliers in the finals: 0-0 soon to be 0-1
That's being finished
Slam dunks, regardless of who they are on, count for a whopping two points.
Championships count for a place in history.
Until Lebron James wins a championship and regularly hits last second shots when his team is actually LOSING, he is not, I repeat NOT a finisher.
Obviously not! :lol Look at Strike here still trying hard to annoy a Cavs fan.Quote:

I was saying that he not only sets up plays for the team, but he has to set up plays for himself because rarely does anyone else on the team do it for him.
Strike, I'm not gonna argue with you anymore. Take your game 3 win and bask in the glory. I came in here to congratulate the Spurs for winning tonight and showing that I can handle all the shit you guys talk about the Cavs despite being a Cavs fan. I have nothing against you.
Keep thinking about the flashes in the pan. It obviously makes you happy.Quote:

You can have the dunks. I'll take the championships.
By the way, while this is one of the best basketball boards on the net, it's still a SPURS board. If you come here singing the praises of another team or player, be prepared for people to talk shit. If you can't take that, take your ball and go home.
I've obviously annoyed you so bad that you don't want to play anymore.Quote:
