Dan asked Grant Hill if he had to choose between the Phoenix Suns or San Antonio Spurs to win an NBA championship.
He's trying to be all political about it. He said Phoenix fits his style more and would rather go there. :rolleyes

Good......his broken down ass would not last a few games before he would be on IR.
He knows he will get no special treatment in SA.
I just heard that too.
He did list the following criteria that will be important to him as he goes through his selection process:
1. Chance to win a championship
2. Not getting killed in practice
3. Team Chemistry
I still believe he would be a better fit in San Antonio.
Which is probably why he has yet to win one. :shootme :lolQuote:

I'm not sure whether it's sillier to care about where a player in steep decline like Grant Hill wants to play, or to get bent out of shape that he wouldn't want to gravy-train off Tim Duncan
1. Sure there's a chance. Even Memphis had a chance.Quote:

He'd certainly fit the mold -- Glenn Robinson, Michael Finley, and Steve Kerr.
I'd take him.
For players in his position the obvious answer is Phoenix, whatever justifications he may give. If he says SA, it looks like he is trying to ride the coat tails of a champion to get a ring. If he says Phoenix, people can debate whether or not he will be "the missing piece" or "veteran leadership" they need to go all the way.
I really don't give a shit about Grant Hill.
Guys like Phoenix better because you don't have to work very hard there - hit your spots, shoot lots of three pointers, have fun.
Grant! We Need You In Detroit After We Trade Gayshaun

sorry to break it to you but Prince is not the reason youlost. Sheed and a finished billups are the reason. not to mention Rip's turnovers. and webber's pathetic ass.
It was the curse of Webber.Quote:

You guys have the Webber curse.Quote:

Box scores don't mean crap if you watched the games. Billups choked, time and time again.
because box scores tell the whole tale :rolleyesQuote:

I would take Prince in the Spurs in a second.
Sure he'd pick Phoenix. In SA he'll be riding the pine if he doesn't play defense and bring it during practice, no matter how good a shooter/passer he is. Remember when Brent Barry was signed, there was a lot of hype about how he was going to get so many open looks and help SA maintain its superpower status? Well, Pop has made Barry earn every single minute he's played, and he hasn't played much.
There are no superstars in Pop's system, and no freebies based on reputation. There's no way Hill will get major minutes with Manu/Finley/Bruce competing for the swing spots.
In Phoenix he gets to compete with James Jones for a starting spot. Also, if Marion is traded as many are speculating, he gets even more minutes. And those minutes come in a freewheeling, trigger-happy, no-defense system.
With a history of frequent injuries and a suspect defensive reputation, Hill and Phoenix are made for each other.
Joumana would probably like Phoenix better than San Antonio and she definitely wears the pants in that family.
Grant Hill is married to the singer Tamia.Quote:

Grant Hill would probably snap his ankle with all of that running in Phoenix, I don't want him anyway, we need to get younger not older and broke down...
