:cry
NO fucking way. :depressed
:lol
Darkota II.
Yes!
Good thing ploto didn't have a chance to trash him yet.
Shit, can you cancel customized jersey orders after you've already paid?
of course.
Damnation! Say it isn't so...
Any guy who sticks around to get picked at the end of the draft is worth his weight in beef jerky... at least.
Oh well, now we can all root against the Raptors. Hopefully they find their way back into the lottery.
:stirpot:
spurs could use a 31 pick
Roll it forward.

The biggest weakness in this franchise is the smugness of the front office in the summer after winning a title.
Fucking get a Bowen replacement already and start training his ass. Stupid fucks.
just maybe white is ready
Yeah, we never win any championships....Quote:

Great deal. It could be a steal if the pick isn't protected and if Raptors sucks next year.
Is this guy more of a potential Bowen replacement than James White? Than Marcus Williams?
You're a stupid bitch if you think Pop didn't have the ultimate say in all this.Quote:

We need a Hedo/Ferry replacement.
waiting for the name of the drafted player since Ginobili, the Spurs have picked, thats worth a shit.Quote:
Yeah, we never win any championships
Have faith in Marcus. :)
Who knows, maybe Williams becomes that guy. He's not super tall, but he's 6'7 with a 7'0 wingspan.Quote:

Then that pick will be traded.
Then on and on and on.
Its the same bullshit draft strategy that has lost this franchise 3 or 4 more rings.
Waiting for Tfart to have a point.Quote:

Yup.
They don't draft a point guard. Everyone and their goddamn mother knows the back up point guards suck ass.
So what do they do? Draft another fucking euro center, a small forward thats a fucking punk and then trade away the last pick.
Heaven for fucking bid, management drafts a player and then GASP!! PLAYS HIM THE NEXT YEAR!!!!!
Fucking christ. This team is a clippers pulling their heads out of their asses down the stretch from losing in the western conference.
Tony Parker (Finals MVP.Quote:

My question is this... what in the fuck did you want them to do with the 28, 33, and 58? To a Championship club?? You guys led by T Park are hilarious.
No draft player outside of Oden, Durant, Horford, or Brewer would be contributors next year. And even one of those guys would be limited in contributions as they learn.
The interesting thing for the Spurs begins now - Free Agency. This is where the pieces that filled roles in the 2007 Championship were acquired. Let's see what happens now.
Some of you people are just plain idiots. A mere 2 weeks after the team won their 4th title and you're bitching about the fucking 58th pick out of 60 of the draft being traded?
First, the Spurs do need to get some youth in to start learning from the veterans.Quote:

that about sums it up. the people who are happy with this draft are the same ones that are satisfied with four championships (when it could have been six).Quote:

Officially traded now ..
SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Spurs announced today that they selected Tiago Splitter with the 28th overall pick and Marcus Williams with the 33rd overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. In addition, San Antonio traded the draft rights of Giorgos Printezis to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for the Raptors second round pick in the 2008 NBA Draft.
Splitter, a 6-11 forward from Brazil, has spent the past four seasons playing for Tau Ceramica in the Spanish ACB league. Last season he played in 28 games, averaging 11.2 points and 5.4 rebounds in 24.0 minutes per game. In Euroleague action, he appeared in 20 games posting averages of 10.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per contest. For his career, Splitter has played in 96 games in the Spanish ACB league, averaging 9.2 points and 4.5 rebounds while shooting .600 (325-542) from the field. Over the last four seasons he has also played in 79 Euroleague games, averaging 8.1 points and 3.2 rebounds per contest. Splitter has been a member of the Brazilian National Team since 2002 and played in the 2002 and 2006 World Championships.
The Spurs used the 33rd overall pick they obtained from the Milwaukee Bucks in a 2006 draft night deal to select Williams out of the University of Arizona. Last season he earned First Team All-Pac-10 honors as a sophomore. He ranked fourth in the Pac-10 in scoring (16.6 ppg) and eighth in rebounding (6.7 rpg), while registering four double-doubles. As a freshman, the 6-7 forward was named to the Pac-10 All-Freshman team, averaging 13.0 points and 4.7 rebounds. During his two years with the Wildcats, Williams averaged 14.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists while shooting .475 (355-748) from the field. Williams participated in the 2005 Global Games as a member of Team USA, averaging 18.8 points and 7.3 rebounds in six games.
And oh yeah, they just bought a team that will have 10 young guys playing in their system for an entire season.
Goddamn these cheap, stupid, nonforward-thinking Spurs.
yupQuote:

Some of you are seriously bitching like little girls over some dude none of you have ever even heard of? We got Tiago Splitter and Marcus Williams. Stop crying and shut the fuck up, Jesus Christ.
That statement is just plain dumb. Do you know how hard it is to get 1 title? Obviously you've never played the game or even followed it closely.Quote:

You seem pretty upset about this, so before you assume I'm piling on you also, I'm not. I'm just curious if you think Jared Jordan would have made the roster?Quote:

they bought a team that makes money!!!Quote:

There weren't any superstars or big time players to get a role on the Spurs next year to be had in this draft where the Spurs were picking.Quote:

Grow up.
Did anyone stop to think the Spurs had plans to sign certain free agents this summer?
Judging from the debts the Toros had outstanding after the season was over, yours is an erroneous description.Quote:

It's all a master-plan. By 2052 the Spurs will have the first pick in the draft.Quote:

Derrick Byars, quite a bit of players.Quote:

This was supposedly a draft as deep as 2003, and the spurs pick one guy that will prob never play on the team, and if he does, hes a mediocre rebounder who shys from contact, and a small forward that has a shit attitude and doesn't solve any problems.
Tell me again how this solves the age problem of the team?
Hey cracker. If you don't like what I have to say, howabout you scroll?Quote:
