Would it definitely have been wrong to remain under contract? I cannot answer that and I doubt very seriously that you can, with all due respect to you. Obviously Fisher thinks this is the best move to make, but had he gone the other way, would that then give us license to call Fisher a bad parent? Of course not. It looks more noble because he turned down the money, but I wouldn't have thought less of him had things stayed as they were. I am in no position to judge either way. What I am qualified to comment on is the idea that a person is some kind of modern day saint for doing exactly what they are supposed to do. The sentiment is a little ridiculous. Why don't we have a "Thanks For Not Committing A Crime!" parade for the law-abiding?Quote:

It's a class move not so much from a family standpoint, but from the fact that not only is he leaving a lot of money on the table, in addition to taking care of his family, but he's doing the Jazz a favor because he knows that he won't be able to do his job effectively.
Derek is a great person and i wish him luck and his family!

Great player. I feel bad for him and his family and I hope the best for him and his daughter.
What kind of dork decides to become the most obvious form of troll on an internet message board and uses his real name?Quote:
