Beno will be an average contributor in the regular season simply because he'll give Parker some rest and eat minutes playing average ball until he is either traded or the playoffs start.

The Spurs admit their mistakes all the time:
They waived Sato.
They didn't even bother with Brian Bacey.
I'd say the Scola trade was an admission.
They traded Rasho
They traded to get Kerr back.
They waved goodbye to Javtokas.
Giricek...otherwise known as the original Scola trade.
You know...I'm critical for them making bad moves...but they don't go to a whole lot of effort to hide those mistakes, that's why it's easy to be critical of them...because you can easily see their mistakes.
That's why seldom get decent value for their players in trades...
They probably don't do enough covering of their mistakes.
I just don't agree with you here...
My thought exactly.Quote:

Mike Bibby injured on a squad with no PG depth.
Hey RC, that's your cue.
That's the clear problem with Beno's contract. $1.7M won't get you much in return. It's either other end-of-the-bench guys or young players on miniscule entry-level contracts who are far too good to be traded for scrubs.Quote:

The only one we could possibly get is Williams, but he's involved in a sexcapades case.
Don't they have Mustafa Shakur? How'd he do?
What about cash or a trade exemption? Does anybody know if the Kings have a trade exemption?
New nickname for Beno: Floater.Quote:

Trade him, use the available roster space and sign someone that is decent that got cut, like Nichols.
Spurs trading Beno for a trade exception make a lot of sense money wise.
What about Indiana? They're rebuilding and looking for youth. And their starting PG is the oft injured Jamaal Tinsley with Travis Diener behind him.
Pacers have a trade exception big enough for Beno and a roster spot but they are too just under the luxury tax. Taking Beno will put them over the threshold and cost them a lot of money.Quote:
