Parker (2007-2008) = $10,500,000.00
1. The salaries of Many and Tony exceed Dirk's by $3,214,905.00. Who else am I getting so that the salaries match? It could make a difference.
2. Dirk can't play two positions simultaneously and log 80+ minutes per game if necessary. (I can't clone him.) Obvious? Yes, but you are trading two all-star calibre players for one. You can't escape that. (A $3 million player is generally not an all-star.)
3. Traditionally, you trade big for small if you can. The problem is that this "truism" came from a time when all big men were low post players. Dirk is not a dominating interior presence. In constrast, Manu and Tony like to penetrate for high percentage baskets, and often score more points in the paint than Dirk.
4. IMHO, Dirk is not so much a choker as a guy who refused to learn to play in the post at a high skill level. He would be much more valuable as a big if he did. Since he does not, it's hard to trade him for two players as valuable as Parker and Ginobili.

Hell fucking no. You should just shoot yourself in the head for even entertaining such a ridiculous idea. :frying:Quote:

Dirk hits the three, s a allstar rebounder.. he drives to the lane which is is a high percentage shot or foul. HE also doesn't choke at the end of games on free throws like duncan and defer to manu to close out games.

Yea but Dirk hasn't proved he can step up when it matters. If we didnt win we would know it was exactly because Dirk choked again. Then we could sit back and say damn this wouldn't of happened with Tony and Manu

Would you trade Dirk and Josh Howard for Manu?
Or maybe Golden State would entertain Dirk and Josh Howard for Byron Davis.
HUH??? :dizzy

WTF, why would Mavs trade dirk and jho for Manu or one hit wonder Baron Davis? And why would we mess around with a championship team?
Why don't we go further here....would we trade Oberto for Kobe, Lebron, and KG? Would Lakers trade Kwame for Duncan? This thread is laughable.
The Mavs could then get some Championship experience. Winning, that is.Quote:
