So does anybody have a clip of it :p: :spin :spin :spin . That was the old Manu dunking on people again. It's good to see him like this so far into the season.

Despite that dunk, Yao dominated Tim :(
That jump seemed abnormal, either Manu used Yao as a boost or jumped while in the air, because it looked like he reached his peak height on the jump and then he just elevated a little bit more.
Awesome dunk but the way you guys were tallking about it i expected more...
Who are the commentators? Sounds like Elliott..................are these teh Housten announcers? LMAO
Right in his mouth, take out the mouth piece, put it back in. :lmao

ehh. didnt look all that special to me.
I've seen Manu dunk on people before. I just don't ever remember him elevating like that before.
Hmmm expected more from all the hype on here...no biggie
Manu is kryptonian.Quote:

Manu is exploding off the court perhaps better than ever. I can't remember the last time he looked this fresh with such freedom of movement.
I'm hoping he can still have 90% of this explosiveness come playoff time.

My favorite Manu dunk was the one he had against the Lakers in '05.
Yes it was awesome, but I am pretty sure Yao's raping vs the Spurs was a lot worse than that dunk.
Yao had what? 28 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 assists?
WTF? SportsCenter just showed the Spurs-Rockets highlights and they didn't even show the Manu Dunk. I know we lost but come on. The only Spurs highlights they showed were Duncan misses.
SuperManu is back!!!!
It was sweet.
Thanks for getting it posted so fast.
I don't think he's ever got up that high that I've seen. I can't believe people are saying that they "expected more." :lolQuote:

That looked incredible, especially one the last angle in the linked video. I haven't seen a Spurs dunk that good since the one Manu threw down on Ben Wallace in game 7.
well, had Yao been further out causing manu to wrap his legs around him, it would have been on espn.Quote:

come back when Manu does a worthy and "true" posterization like this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gv109W3b5nI
by the way you can buy a framed pic of tmac's posterizaton of bradley on NBA.com, I highly doubt manu's dunk will be sold on NBA.com :sleep

:lol @ rocketfan.
You won the game.
Concede the dunk.
Most of Manu's other great dunks were one-handed. To throw down a two-handed dunk over a human that large you have to really get up. Off the top of my head, that's the highest I've ever seen Manu jump.
'03 Lakers, where he went baseline.
Manu has that nice teardrop eh? Nobody in the league has a teardrop like his.

That had to be his dunk in the last couple of years. Hopefully there's more to come to this season.
I've seen better
The one he had against the Hawks a few years ago was pretty nice....he wasn't dunking on anyone, but it was still one of his most memorable ones.
Manu has upgraded his balls for this season

Obviously Manu could dunk from behind rim while smiling to Rocket's bench and at the same time making a tatoo on Yao's sholder. :wakeupQuote:

Again; Nope he dunked off one footQuote:

On a side note, doesn't Yao look like he's dunking on one of those 8 foot rims. He put some down in traffic today but they don't look like much.
So you are hyping a dunk over Shawn Bradley?Quote:

Upon further review, his head was almost on the rim. It didn't appear that he got any lift from Yao, he actually banged into him at a pretty even level bodywise on the dunk. Those were the best hops Manu has ever shown in the NBA, and probably the best hops by a 6'6" "white" guy in history.
No it wasn't.Quote:

No. He switched hands in mid-air and dunked on Ben Wallace in a game that actually meant something.Quote:

Not even on his own team. Brent Barry.Quote:

Did you catch how Manu stared @ the guys sit behind the boards who were yalling nasty things to him during the whole game??
To pay for that ticket, you need VISA.
To enjoy Manu's dunk, it is priceless!!!
What? Brent Barry came from the free throw line back in '96. Also Tom Chambers was probably the best vanilla dunker of all time.Quote:

have just seen sportscenter and Manu's dunk is #3 play of the day... nice comments from the guys like "was that a two handed dunk over Yao Ming?"
I think he got some help from Yao, which makes it even better. I loved it.
Can someone make a gif of that for me?

Yao: Sorry Manu I can't allow you to dunk on me
Manu: I can dunk on you even with a hand in my face
I wish Miami would piss the hell out of Manu tonight!
Haier Play of the Day!
I didn't realize Yao's hand was all in his face like that. How did they not call a foul on Yao? I guess it happened to fast. Manu even looked shocked.Quote:

We need a thread for every Manu dunk this year. Seriously. That would rule.

Barry is top three for worst dunk champions of all time, and that's only because of Cedric Ceballos and Dee Brown.
It's all marketing. Manu's dunk is easily ten times the dunk Lebron made against the Spurs last year, but ESPN won't show it a thousand times and characterize it as a "facial".
Again, the dunk was ok (good dunk, not a great one). The main part was his elevation (IMO). However, Yao was already standing under the lane (after he threw the ball away) and didn't really try to contest the shot. It was a nice one but I have seen Manu do beter (I recall one against Wallace). I have definately seen better dunks on Yao...a good 10 a season or so (he has NO VERTICAL).
shit, he NEEDS no vertical!Quote:

Manu knows only one speed - FULL BLAST! Too bad he didn't have much help during that loss.
If you are 7'6 and can only jump one or two inches off the ground it doesn't really put you at an advantage when a 6-6 cat has a 48 " vertical….Quote:

Damn.
Thank god I found this thread, that was nasty.
it was good, just not amazing. I thought it was funny on that pic posted here that Yao's hand was all up manu's cranium and manu didn't get the and1. Perhaps karma after flailing his arms and flopping when he grazed bonzi's shoulder. Maybe that pissed bonzi off and motivated him to out-glass manu.
Seriously the dunk was not that bad ass....it was cool, awesome, timely, but its not like he had a running start and had yao on a good yao blocking attempt.
Still no gif?
I saw it :lmaoQuote:
