Trade Scola for Wells? No, send a second round pick for the Olympic MVP.
Nice!
Bonzi is a Spurs killa!
While Jeff VAn Gundy is the only person in the NBA that can stop Bonzi.
I really don't want to see Bonzi in the playoffs again.
The only reason to sign Bonzi would have been to not have to play against him.Quote:

Hell, last night against Dallas (a team that I think most would consider a bigger threat over the course of a 7 game series), he went 1 for 8.
Fuck Banzi.....he doesn't play like this against anyone but us....
We're the only team that makes him look like the second coming of Bill Russell.
I should have read the entire thread before commenting...well said on your part.Quote:

But there's no way he'd fit into the Spurs program. That being said, the Bonner signing was just a stop-gap measure. He's just a soft shooter. The best we could do I guess.
Not to be alarmist... but Bonzi's going to be a real headache if the Spurs meet the rockets in the playoffs. The spur don't have any swingman who have enough beef to push Wells off the boards. Plus, aside from Duncan and Ginobili, we don't really have any above average rebounders at their positions.
Bonzi only plays well against the Spurs. Therefore, if he were on the Spurs, hed have no one to play well against, meaning hed be more useless than Beno (well I dont know about that one, mite be a stretch).
What about Oberto and Udoka???Quote:

A true flashback to 2006. Bonzi simply killed the Spurs inside-outside, on the glass, wherever. Bowen, Finley, Barry all failed in trying to stop this guy - again.
Pop got desparate and threw Udoka at him for a short spell. Problem is he didn't leave Udoka on the court long enough to evaluate his results.
When Bonzi gets it going, nobody can stop him. It's about positioning on the court and running to the open spot. His rebounding was about positioning too. He fits in well with Adelman cause he's run the Adleman offense for years at Sacremento. It's the rest of the Rockets that are trying to find their groove with this new offense.
wells>scola
Even though I discount the loss as it was the 4th game of the season, it can't be denied that Bonzi has the Spurs number whether it be regular season or playoffs. I'm hoping Udoka can be the Bonzi eliminator eventually.
manu sure can not :depressedQuote:

Game last night just prove Van Gundy dumbest NBA coach in many year.
Bonzi is, more or less, a piece of shit. If he were truly good, he would do this most of the time. He certainly has the ability, but he's moody, undisciplined, and unprofessional. He'll be a non-factor for most of the year - unfortunately, he'll probably continue to play well against the Spurs, so we'll have to just live with it.
Don't waste your time. He is hopeless.Quote:

ducks, go suck Tony's dick, fuckface.
Funny thread.
Bonzi actaully has played well for us. Execpt maybe he shoots those rainbow prayer a little too often 18.ft out for my taste, I dont really have anything to complain about him. The guy is a strong hard-nosed player. He D-up people pretty pretty good too. So he plays well against other teams too.
I love JVG, but I think he got it wrong on Bonzi last season. Instead of finding a way to bring Bonzi along, he demanded Bonzi to adjust and adapt to his system, which backfired at the end. Bonzi would have been the difference for us to overcome Utah last season and possilbly saved JVG's job. Oh, well, I am just glad he is still with us, not to mention for the cheap. Bonzi and Francis combined are costing us less than MLE, can you believe that!
BTW, thank you for sending us Scola.
I hope Bonzi has a great year for Houston and they reward him with a 5 year $40M contract.
I'd be down with signing Wells just to place him on IR and have him not hurt the Spurs.
Bonzi is a bad matchup for the Spurs. He is so strong he just muscles our players out of the way on offense and defense.
I saw one rebound where he ran over and simply took it out of the hands of a Spur who was getting the rebound.
Bonzi has always killed us. Some players just play well against particular teams. That's why you see those stats on TV stating this player has had this many ppg vs (insert team name) since (insert date). Might as well label that "My Bitch Team Is". If Bonzi had played against ALL the other teams like he plays against the Spurs he probably would have gotten that fat contract he was looking for from Sac. :)
All the more reason Pop should've allowed Udoka more time on the court. He's not only a more physical wing player, he's also got the type of edgy, competitive, on-court attitude that none of the other wing players (not named Bowen) has.Quote:

well, considering weve won 4 of the last 9 years, i think its pretty safe to say that the front office has personel decisions under control, and wont be looking to promote any "armchair GM's" anytime soon..Quote:

that's fine. doesn't really hurt so bad given how that series ended.Quote:

(truth be told though, rocket fans should probably be hoping that he misses some of those shots he was making the other night. he hits a few outside shots and he's going to be jacking them up all year long.)
Dude you always bitch at people for hating on Tony Parker, and then you go off and hate on Ginobili.Quote:

Ron Artest would counter balance Bonzi, but there is no way the Spurs trade for him, eventhough he could be available. Corey Maggette would be ideal but is too expensive, a little dim, and probably not available. Tony Allen has size and can defend but the Celts would never give him up. Trevor Ariza is an interesting idea--and he isn't getting minutes in Orlanda--but doesn't have the size and couldn't pick up the system without camp. All things being equal, I'd trade Barry and a 1st round pick for a player to get us over the top. But I don't see it happening. The best to hope for is that Udoka comes through.
The Bonzi problem could be solved in other ways: the Spurs could bust hump for homecourt and leave the Rockets with a hard road to the West Finals; we could sign another big to help with Yao; we could trade for a beefy, defensive point to reduce the contributions of Alston and James. The point is this Rocket's team, at least on paper, gives the Spurs fits. Again, on paper, I'm not confident that the Spurs can beat them.
