pppfffftttt what the fuck does that matter? we're getting the points we need from the rest of our team. Even if our big 3 were'nt head and shoulders better than your big 3... the rest of our team still >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> rest of your teamQuote:

TIMMY D. just stay Injury Free.........
spurs big 3, minutes: 96.2
mavs big 3, minutes: 99.9
and all you've got to show for it is +9ppg and a slightly higher a/to ratio. in other words, nice offense.
but wait!
spurs big 3 + 3.38 blocks, 4.24 steals
mavs big 3 +2.17 blocks, 2.26 steals
we're almost doubling your defensive production, in less time. that has to hurt
Way too early in the season for me to really get worked up about this. Frankly I love the fact that his miutes are down and he is deferring to others. Hopefully this will allow other players to develop faster making us stronger later in the season. But if this continues through our "Rodeo Road Trip" then I will be concerned. I really see this as an aberation rather than a develpoing trend.
Difference between dunking it under the rim and laying it up soft, is that a layup or a tip in has much more of a chance to be blocked or defended against. if you are jumping and throwing the ball through the hoop, has much mroe force behind it, and more of a chance for those block attempts to become and 1's instead of 0's...
i agree, tim has the moves, but is lacking the tenacity the last few games to finish...just needs to get his head on straight sometimes.
I think Tim is entitled to a few free passes during the regular season.
As long as he's not injured, Tim will bring it during the playoffs.

Yes he is, he had a bad night that is all it was. Watch tape of him against the Suns in game 6 to see proof his movement and athletic ability is just fine. I never saw a guy more active on D for 40 min maybe ever. His movement and ability to finish on offense is fine, he has never been a big dunk guy anyway. You'll see on Thurs against the Mavs he will play a great game.Quote:

Dallas has a big three? since when?Quote:

First of all the stats prove that your big 3 is not better than ours. You just choose to ignore them.Quote:

And lastly, the rest of your team, beyond your big 3 is average at best and our bench is as good or better and deeper.
The overall stats show that currently
We Shoot a higher percentage from the field
You shoot higher from 3 pt.
We shoot a higher percentage from the line.
Rebound the same as yours
Assist are the same
You get more steals
We get more blocks
You turn it over 1 less
We average 102.4 ppg and allow 95.0
You averaage 99.0 ppg and allow 89.8
The stats are pretty darn even. Which is why the games are so competitive.
Although it should be noted the Mavs have won 9 of the last 15 against you.
And that is what we are talking about this week, a head to head game.
And i appologize for lumping all Spurs fans into the category as arrogant. My wife is from there and she will tell you that only about half are arrogant.
The other half realize that the 2 best teams in the league for the last 5 years are the Spurs and the Mavs and it is a shame that they can't meet in the finals.
I still look forward to a rematch of the 06 series...and i agree with your wife, even though i cant stand the mavs.Quote:

I'd like to see how the Spurs squad would fare in today's leauge for about 10 games w/o Duncan, for experimental purposes. Put TD on the I/R for an 'ailment' or 'injury' and see how the team does with Tony and Manu being the main guns. I'd be pretty optimistic actually, probably a 7-3 or 6-4 record.
Is that you, Pop?Quote:

Another intelligent analysis. I have hope for this forum after all!Quote:

and lastly, if your bench is deeper and better and your big 3 is better than ours, than why are the overall stats "pretty darn even"?
sorry to be a jerk but i dont buy that conciliatory tone when the other side of your mouth is saying you have a better team. scoreboard is all that matters, mavs fan, and the spurs have 4 in 9 while your mavs are 0 in 27.
We were killing them. Up by nearly 20 for a lot of the game. Were you not watching? Or can you not count?Quote:

I'm disappointed in how he performed. I consider the Lakers a good team and Duncan shouldn't have played that bad against a good team unless he is injured. Hopefully he bounces back.
Uh, the lead shouldn't have an effect on the amount of effort you give while your in the game.Quote:
