I think the Mavs take this game. They are at home and that is a bit of an advantage for them, although I think Spurs vs Mavs is probably the best example of HCA meaning absolutely nothing. But a lot of people are doubting the Mavs right now and I think that gives them that extra push to win this game. If the Spurs lose, they're still considered title contenders. If the Mavs lose they're going to say Dallas' road back to the Finals runs through and ends in San Antonio. Pencil this in as one of those early season losses where we get outrebounded or miss a bunch of threes and lose the game.
Im not so thrilled between the Spurs and Mavs game anymore after the Suns-Spurs playoff match last year. Well, that's me anyways. Bring on the Suns dammit!
Mavs are gonna bring it tonight!!!

This game will be fun to watch, but fans of both teams should remember that this is November. Neither team will want to show their hand. Even if the Spurs had some new, clever way to match up against the Mavs, they wouldn't show it to the Mavs tonight and give them a whole season to figure it out. Likewise, the Mavs' slow start might be because they want to pace themselves and not repeat last year's mistake of peaking too soon in the season. So, whoever wins, it doesn't mean much come playoff time.
I can't wait for this game to start. Time to see how good this Spurs team is in the middle of November.
Will the Mavs win yet another regular season championship or can the Spurs steal their crown?
:hungry:
^^^what a pussy way to look at it. (barbacoataco)
these are about the ONLY games these two teams care about. sure, its not the playoffs, but neither team is going to let up or "hold something back" as you're saying. Mavs and Spurs arent officially in the playoffs yet. this game means a lot

Although, I do realize this game does mean a good amount to the Mavs.

Yeah, this game means a lot to Dallas. Just look at how bad the Spurs beat us in the playoffs the last time both teams played each other.....oh wait, they didn't :elephant
I'm sure if by some miracle San Antonio wins tonight, you Spur fans won't act like it's a big deal :rolleyes
we won't but all the dumbass Mav fans that are pimping this game will sure eat their crow. THAT we WILL make sure of!Quote:

First of all, Barkley, this is a basketball program. Leave Barry and his bad self out of the discussion.
I didn't know Starbury got benched but am not surprised to hear about all the drama that followed.
That guy is bad for team chemistry which is a shame given his skill level.
Boo- Reggie Miller and David Aldridge are covering our game.
But hooray for Ginoooooooooooobili! :)
