LOST to the CHARLOTTE BOBCATS!!!!!!!
see...it happens to everyone, frantic spurs fans.
bobcats is to celtics as warriors is to mavericks as bucks is to spurs
How can you tell that after one game?
Those 4 teams you mentioned have had that kind of rivalry for at least 3 seasons.
if it werent for a BS ray allen three off of a stolen inbound pass at the buzzer, the bobcats would be 2-0 vs the celtics this year. and the first one woulda been with gerald wallace out with an injuryQuote:

The Bobcats's games aside, the Celtics are good and they are good at both ends of the court. The surprising part about the Celtics this year has been their defensive play. The last time I checked, the Celts led the NBA in fewest points allowed, Opp. FG% and Opp. 3-pt%.

I agree abut the Spurs missed the boat but the DALLAS MAVS are gonna win the championship, not Bosten!Quote:

It has been surprising to me because Paul Pierce and Ray Allen aren't really known for defense. Pierce is very handsy...a slapper, if you will, but he's not a strong defender.
A second look, though, shows Garnett actively anchoring the interior. Rondo is better than average defensively in the backcourt. Posey is a good defender and so is Tony Allen. They close out very well on shooters.
It's unusual to see a team with both elements...a strong interior and stingy exterior defense.
J-Rich played great. He was red hot tonight.
But the guy that was killing the Celtics down low was former Spur Nazr Mohammed.
Remind me again why the Spurs let this guy go?Quote:

Just one of those nights. Every team I don't care who they are lose to teams they have no business losing to. Spurs,Mavs,Suns all have lost games to sub 500 teams.
:lol freemeat = "Poster of the Week".
If memory serves, the Spurs made him an offer before the 05-06 season but he wanted more money.Quote:

We were all saying the same thing this time last year when we went on a 5-6 or 6-7 slide into early Feb. I was in SA to watch 3 losses to the Lakers, Rockets and someone else. Things didn't even turn around for the rodeo road trip. But after the All-Star break, everything clicked.Quote:

Oh, and if you think Nazr Mohammed would take us to another ring, you are deluded. Sure, he's putting up numbers with the Cats, but he has terrible hands, a low bball IQ, and used to miss his defensive assignments all the time. Thanks to him for the contribution in 05, but that's it.

I'll never forget that block he had on Ben Wallace in the finals though.
I'll take Elson over Nazr any day of the week!
At least Elson has his athleticism going for him.
I think that other dude was talking about the Celtics.Quote:
