No wonder Portland fans loved this guy. He is a hell of a player.
Game ball goes to Udoka tonight! :toast
Awesome game by Ime!!!! Seriously, this guy is an amazing addition to the Spurs. He has been playing so well for the Spurs lately! Today, just extra special!!!
NEVER GIVE UP ON OUR SPURS! They may not play great every game, but when it counts the Spurs will be there!
Just have to quote myself 2 days ago:
"I think the bigger problem is the way Bruce is messing up the offense. Lately he has been driving to the hole, taking long twos, and missing everything he puts up. Maybe Udoka should start and Bruce should be used in spots off the bench to cool down hot players?
I just think benching Bruce, but still playing him 24-30 mins a game (he's currently playing an ave of 31), would re-energise the starting offense, and allow Bruce to come in whenever Pop needs him for shorter periods of high intensity D. Udoka is a good defender, so the defensive dropoff shouldn't be huge. Worth a try?"
He's found his rhythm on both ends now, this is the player we hoped for when he was signed.
After progressive improvement all month, Ime truly became a Spur tonight. he's a big part of the puzzle for this team.
Ime completely deserves the accolades. I really like his confidence. He can defend, make the 3 pointers, rebound, etc...Just a really good Spurs addition. And did you notice Pop giving him more minutes? He knows it too!
Testing him on Kobe was great.
I like this guy's confidence.
I don't know if Popovich would actually bench Bowen in favor of Udoka but I can see Udoka taking a bulk of the crunchtime minutes like tonight when Popovich stuck him on Kobe toward the end. Decent defense, better offense.Quote:

Kobe didn't do much at the end with Udoka on him. As a Fan I agree that Bruce would be better off the bench. It's worth a shot in my world..... Look what going to the bench did for Manu.
Good jobe Ime!:spin
We got a few good games coming up to close the month
i hope pop gives udoka the starting job to adjust to these clowns he be going up against
cose this is UDOKAAAAA
Ime OkeyDokey!Quote:

I agree with the lineups except for one slot... I'd slide Horry to the end of the bench. I hate saying this but... he's done.Quote:

Oh yeah, nothing.
Horry looks abysmaly slow on the court and is shooting a whopping 18% from the field. However, I did see him block one shot this season, which was impressive at that moment.Quote:

The LPGA doesn't get the exposure it deserves. Maybe some kind of promotional tie-in with Hooters would help. :toastQuote:

Hes methodical, hes never been quick.
Horry knows when he is done and when to quit.
Horry doesn't think hes done and neither do I.
Ime did great today, it was excellent to see how he energised the team.
I see a lot of you saying this, and I was thinking the same, but noticed that Manu had the job on Kobe most of the time Bruce was sitting. Udoka was stuck on the bigs with Pop's small ball.Quote:

OK i just noticed this and I know it was prob discussed already but wasn't Horry number 5 last year? Udoka was a balla last night. Hell of a 3rd qtr.
Yeah Horry wore #5 last year, decided to change it because this is supposed to be his last year, and he wanted his rookie number. (Im about 90% sure about this).Quote:

Bump....
Despite a fourth quarter blowout by the Hornets tonight, Ime had a VERY solid game yet again.
I'm thinking about starting an "official Ime Udoka thread" if this kid keeps playing the way he has for the past few weeks. If the Spurs are going to go deep into the playoffs, they'll definitely need his contribution.
