Hack a Bowen would make excellent sense to me. If the Spurs are forced to take out Bowen, it would work to the Suns advantage. Nash, Diaw and Barbosa usually have plenty of fouls left over at the end of a game.
I'd take my chances with Bowen at the line rather than Parker and Manu driving in for layups.
The Suns perimeter players would be wide open if Bowen was riding the pine.
Sure, Hack a Shaq sounds better but Hack a Bowen might be equally as effective.

I disagree, I don't know what Bowen's FT% is, but I am sure it isn't bad enough to consider this strategy.
I also believe we played pretty good defense with Bowen on the bench in game 1.

Shaq is about 60%, Bowen is about 65% while Duncan is about 73%
I think Bowen has less of a chance at making 2 free throws than Tony, Tim or Manu making a shot in the 4th quarter.
Bowen on the bench in the 4th quarter would be great for the Suns in my opinion.

Spurs.com has Bowen's season FT% at .652
Edit...I type too slow. :lol

That makes more sense. Now does D'Antoni have the cojones to do it?

Probably Not :D
Re: should suns do hack a duncan
Tim Duncan has been streaky at the line at times though.
Like if he misses one early he has a hard time finding his rythmn(at the line)the rest of the night it seems.
Re: should suns do hack a duncan
Who knows how Bowen will react under that kind of pressure?

What does happen if a team runs out of players because everyone fouled out? Would we be looking at Pop vs. D'antoni one on one? Pop would school his ass.
