Hey, he mentioned me too :lol

I agree with all of what Xylus said. The Spurs have played absolutely amazing basketball full of heart this series, and an improbably comeback by the Suns would be a miracle in the sports world. It is possible, because even though no team has ever come back from 3-0 down, if it is going to happen once, some team has to be the first, and the Suns have put themselves in that position to try. The Red Sox became the first, right after being blown out in game 3, so I have not completely given up, just not holding my breath on such a thing.
If the Spurs do close this thing out in 4, or 5, or however many, good luck to them and all you fans the rest of the way, I too will return in the fall like Xylus, just in a much lesser role than him on here.
It aint over, we still need to close them out. Im sure we can do it but they could come back in game 4, though they were humiliated tonight.
I don't give a shit what some sheltered forum bully thinks. My issue isn't what was said, but where it was said and why. He posts in a registration closed forum where outsiders are unwelcome and becoming a member is difficult. Assuming he's as versed in Spurstalk and AZcentral as he claims to be, he also knows I won't join a closed registration forum. So, he hides and chimes in from safety, posting from a blissful ignorance to anything that threatens his Ra-Ra point of view.
He hates it because it challenges him to be better, but that requires work and that's too hard for something that's too easy for him in his hiding place.
Again, I'm posting from what I've seen. Maybe he's very insightful, but calling out Xylus for wanting more than that box gives him was as weak as it gets.
CRAP! I forgot I wagered every cent I had on a Suns win. And not the five point or less (or Spurs win) option, either. The 6-points or better option.
DAMN!
Xylus, you are all class and it's great to have you around. :toast
I'm not sad to see the Suns lose, but I do feel for Nash who is all class and guts but is continually let down by his teammates.
Peace be with you too, although it will probably be some time in coming after this series. This series should have been the WCF.
Your respect is appreciated. Good luck with your team next season
Well said, Xylus! That was a great post and I share your sentiments!
:toast To the San Antonio Spurs! Best of luck in the post season!
Now where's my fishing gear? :lol
Xylus is pulling a reverse TMac. I'm not fooled. You're still the enemy.
Congrats guys. You have a wonderful team in San Antonio. I might not like your team but your team defines how basketball is suppose to be played on both ends. Cant really say anything else because I'm still at a loss of words. I put my heart and soul into this team as a fan and its very disappointing to see us go out like this. Barring a miracle, good luck against whoever else you play.
This sucks. :depressed
Cheers manQuote:
Peace be with you!
I'd have to second the OP.
I'm an LA guy but to tell you the truth, the way Parker is going, I don't see us beating you guys in a series.
PG defense is our achilles heel.
It must suck...but thanks to ALL Classy SUNs' fans that keep it real!!!!!
ONE mo
All you classy posters, J Mark, Xylus, etc. You guys really should stick around. As much as I hate your team and most of your fans (da_suns_fan), like someone said you guys are family now. Stick around!!
Yeah, they had a title, so it's not exactly the same, but there was the cloud of all the asterisk talk by PJ. So this was a chance to beat them and vindicate '99. You may not remember, but the hype before the 2001 series was insane, with everyone anticipating one of the greatest series of all time. When the Spurs got humiliated, the national media turned vicious. Boston sportswriters actually used the term "choking dogs" about them.
Oh... I remember. But the Spurs were without Derek Anderson after the Juwan Howard flagrant. He was a big, big loss for the Spurs that year.
Those Lakers were just unstoppable. They lost one game the entire playoffs. No shame in losing to a team that good.
