Heh, Celtics can't even sweep the Hawks. But nevermind that. The funny thing about Spurs is that I doubt they are like "OMG we can sweep them OMG!!" They are probably like "Hmmm, I wonder what's on TV tonight." They'll even be thinking this when they're up by 30 on the Suns today.
In the past Spurs used to like win 2, get a little too confident and blow the other games. Now, they've grown more and they know Popovich will kick their asses if they don't act right and get the job done.
Are we sure we want to have SWEEP in the title of the game blog thread? Not that I'm superstitious or anything.
This is the first game blog of the series that I haven't started.
Hopefully the Spurs can still win the game! :lol
No sense in being overconfident, but, yes, it would be grat if they win today.
I expect the Suns to throw their best defensive player, raja bell, at Parker and have Nash guard Bowen.
If the Spurs do pull out a victory, the extra time off would do wonders for manu's groin and ankle problems and for Horry and Barry too.
dejinxing...dejinxing...dejinxing...:pctoss
:lmao
Get the fuckin job today Spurs!
I said Spurs in 5, but I hope they end it today.
Go Spurs!
spurs better not let them win Gm4 like they did in 2005
well before the series started i said spurs in 5 so i am going to say they loose this one.
Spurs 88
Suns 98
THough i hope im wrong cus i wana sweep em
:flag:
I think the Suns might show some balls and win this won....
Heres hopeing toa sweep
Great feeling about today, this things over.
Suns come out good, Spurs hit em back hard in the mouth, Suns roll over.
Finish them.
1.
Believe.
Didn't the Spurs win the first 3 against the Suns in 2005? And Then lose Game 4 and come back and win Game 5?
Let's just finish the Suns and sweep them. Get some rest and get ready for round 2. :flag: Go Spurs!
PS They just showed Amare on TV, What an ugly shirt he's wearing. :lol
They just interviewed Amare, he looks beat down.
At church today, my pastor was talking about how he feels unstoppable.
He said, " I feel like Manu Ginobili."
Well, I feel so unstoppable, I feel like Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, and Tim Duncan!
:)
I'm ready to party like it is '99, '03' 05' and 07.
Or as Elson would say: Party Like A Rock star! :fro
Who is that whining commentator sitting the in middle? He's still pouting about Suns losing.
230am here... and im struggling
:flag::flag::flag::flag:
We need to to win this one. An old team needs rest and injured players need to heal. It's that simple.
:flag:
Not sure. But it was the guy in the studio not at the game. Try to look it up on the net but couldn't find any listing of the suits commentators. He went on about if only Finley and Duncan didn't make the threes and Stoudemire didn't draw the charge in game one, then the whole series would have been different. :lol:blah
Considering the way the Spurs came out in game 3 prepared I'm guessing they'll play good enough to win today as well. The question is whether the Suns come to play or not. I hope not.
It's gonna be tough, Suns are gonna come out rabid!!! Maybe not.
Convincing wins over a tough team, most impressive.
Close 'em out, and rest up for the next round.
Get this round over with. Don't let the Suns feel they have the slightest chance to come back.
Go Spurs!!
The Spurs are not only going to sweep....but they're going to VACCCCUUUUUUMMM the suns..

lol lame i know..
I just want to see the game get started, can't wait for it! As soon as the Washington/Cleveland game is over.
You get an A for effort.
For execution, however..

yeah, yeah, bringing 3-1 back to SA wouldn't be so bad, sure to finish it off in Game5, @ATT.
BUT bringing 4-0 back to SA would be so much better.
Destroy the Suns' summer, maybe their organization
(as if the Spurs cared one way or the other),
and give the Spurs, esp Manu, 2 days more rest than 5 games.
After 3-0, and how defeated the Suns looked in Game3, 4-0 is definitely in the cards.
No matter who the 2nd round opponent is, these Spurs are looking very much like 4-1.
Diaw starting, will guard TP
3am here in China, kinda exhausted but still excited for the game. It's actually broadcasted live in here!
1st on Bruce
KT must hit these open jumpers, can't expect Timmy to hot thos long ones.
Fuck 3 by Suns
1st on Shaq
Game just came on TNT! :D
not a good start for the spurs
WTF was that call on Thomas?
Gotta expect and respond well to a strong opening punch.
Play through the adversity.
No complaining or thinking we were fouled.
Play tough.
Stay in the game. Stay within fifteen. Close in the fourth and take it.
Defend P and R well, as we have been doing.
Run P and R,isolate Shaq against Manu and TP.o
Try to get more to the rim. Don't rely so much on perimeter j's. They won't always fall.
Tim and Manu will be the ones who get this game won, probably.
Where is everyone in the chat????
The Suns may sound defeated but that won't stop them from competing. I'm not surprised at all that they got off to a fast start. The Spurs are going to have to weather the storm this game.
Bell hitting it twice, it won't last all night.
Let the Suns get cold and minimize fouls/turnovers
You knew they would come out like this.
Weather the storm Spurs and then you'll have the game.
Hot start for the suns.
Hopefully this sweep talk doesn't bite everyone in the ass, especially since hardly no one believed it was possible before game 3.
Fuck the NBA and those weekend afternoon games ! :flipoff:flipoff:flipoff
Not a surprise.
Most of us expected that they would take a lead and come out fast and hard.
We'll need to work our way back into the game.
We just need to stay within reach of them. Stay within 15 of them, if we can.
Suns showing pride and coming out strong. Time for the Spurs to turn it up. Bell can't shoot like this forever.
Bell with all 7 points?!?
Let's wake up boys!
How funny it is they calling a foul on Thomas when he wants to disturb Shaqs dribble
wow...I can see it now, we're not gonna get ANY calls tonight
who's the officials?
Come on guys. We're lucky he missed that wide open 3 pointer.
Now they come back with O'Neal.
3:49 am here :wakeup :flag:
Let's get some points in the paint. Attack Shaq on P and R.
Establish Timmy in the box.
Don't rely on too many jumpers.
Get to the line.
These are the things to do in a close out game on the road.
Go over picks.
Fight through adversity.
No lay up rule in effect.
I'm not worried. The Suns will be worn out later in the game with no subs.
What Was That! He Just Charged Manu!
Fucker running his mouth
wow, the officiating is off to a fuckin great start.
:pctoss
run some offense
Raja Bell hits shots? OMG, the world is coming to an end!
Did we take the pick and roll out of the playbook for tonight? WTF?
Stfu Amare. Go cry. :lol
amazing we got a call!
I'm not liking the body language right now. Pathetic start. Where's the D?
Ginobili can't be flopping like that when the Spurs are already getting screwed by the refereeing.
Amare's already getting pissed!!!
What a bitch
1pt so far... yikes.
The only way the Suns can win is if they get a 50 point lead by halftime and a lot luck. Spurs always put a defensive stronghold on Suns in the 2nd half, to cut any lead they want.
Lol They Left The Line Early. :D
God damn, don't let Amare come in!
This is more of what I was expecting in game 3... but after that one I figured we'd have it under control.
Weak, fouls, weak D. Someone who can stop Diaw needs to come in.
Oberto is playing like a dumbass on defense. Again. Token slap on Amare? WTF are you thinking?
Horry 232 career playoff games. Second most. Needs 6 more to be first. That is just amazing. :D
Spurs just need to take it inside.
whats the score?
This could be ugly..
Good D and Rebound Duncan.
There we go Parker. Nice layup!
