Official Hornets' trolls registration thread

To be more precise, the fine people of New Orleans do not speak Cajun, or Acadien French. That's a country dialect to be found in the bayou, south and west of New Orleans. You can listen to good French-language stations if you are in Lafayette or Lake Charles.

Nor do they speak with the exaggerated antebellum Southern accent like in the movies. Noone talks like that here. The whites typically speak like Easterners -- when I first moved here, I remarked that white people who grew up in Gretna or Metairie sounded like Brooklyners. It's really close, anyway.

The blacks speak African-American vernacular English, a dialect with simpler conjugations and a strange way of asking questions. "Hoos cat dat is?" instead of the standard "Whose cat is this?"

i just love the term coonass... it sounds funny to me and when I first read DarrinS' post... I almost fell out my chair laff'n so hard. sorry - juss had to read the trolls registration thread!

I'm here from HR and yeah, it's a tight ship sometimes and clean, but you wouldn't know clean if you're from say, Laredo. It's been that way since the beginning though. Some of you mentioned trying to steal the Saints and while what the New Orleans did to get the Hornets from Charlotte was at least ethical, we dealt with many sour Charlotte fans like I'm sure yall dealt sour Saints fans. Since then, HR's well run, but it's not for everyone's taste.

I've liked what I've seen so far here. Yall have a good sense of humor; in registration I was asked if I'm human and I had to think a minute about it.

Fuck you and the whores you rode in on. New Orleans hadn't been clean for over a century before Katrina turned it into a missing tooth in the smile of the Gulf Coast. And there had been serious talk about bringing the Aints to San Antonio for more than a decade before the levee broke. That wasn't because anyone was trying to steal the team. The owner and the players wanted to escape.

A lot of the Hornets fans seem to be an example of what happens when trolls are allowed to inbreed. Isn't there any copper pipe you should be looting or something?
