I love you Big Shot! You will always be a part of Spurs lore!
come back to los angeles robert you too bruce
I hated to see him go out like this but he's left us with many memories and a reason to be proud that he was a Spur.
Good luck in retirement Big Shot Rob.
Just a reminder for those not clued in, Horry has stated that he is NOT retiring.
If he doesn't return to San Antonio, then I will follow him to whatever team he goes to. Of course, my first preference would be for him to come back to LA but then the Spurs is second. We'll see what happens...
Yep, Horry wants to play two more years.
Sign him, he's just what we need right now. An old player!!
But anyway, THANX for the big shots Rob, you were great!!
Thanks Horry! You will always be loved not just by the Spurs, but also the Suns. Wherever you end up, you will always be a Spur for your toughness and desire to win.
I will miss Big Shot.
I mean damn. He single handedly made sure we got our third trophy.
Wish we could have gotten him 8, good luck Rob
HORRY FOR THREEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My fav. moments of Rob's:
1) Obviously the Father's Day Dagger vs Detroit in game 5
2) The three he hit with about 1:50 left to take the lead in game 2 of the 2005 WCF after Nash had just hit a back-breaking three
3) The three he hit to force OT in 2003 vs Shaq/Kobe/Malone/Payton when Tim and Tony were both out.
4) The crazy dunk over Hamilton in game 5 of the 05 Finals
5) The 5 blocks vs Cleveland in game 2 of the 07 Finals
6) The dunk against Golden State where Rob came out of nowhere, jumped over two warriors, and flipped himself over on the rim.
7) Catching up to Iverson of all people, to block his shot in the open court in game 2 of the 2007 First Round
8) The three, steal, then another three against Denver in 05... and in 07 too. :lol
Honorable mention: Ensuring the Kings stayed ringless by hitting the dagger that sunk the franchise in game 4 of the 2002 WCF
I could think of worse 12th men to have on the end of the bench.
I said all along that the Spurs were not gonna advance without a Big Shot by Horry like what he did to West in the last series or to Nash last year. With Horry retiring for good, the dynasty is finally over. ;)
Seriously, big shot bob's lack of production was the reason for the Spurs struggles. Even Lakers have great respect for what he did for us. I know he's not retiring yet, but it looks like his big shot days may be numbered. Even if they are, you still get a salute.
