Death to IE?

So whats new in 3? I hate upgrading anything because it always pisses me off when something small is taken away that I like and I didn't even know I like it till it was gone.

Why pledge?

FF won't run unless you do the update anyways. Unless this is a separate install.

a click of a mouse and I can make it in a record book? count me in, I want my name on the list of those that made it happen.

I got firefox 3 beta 2...

and its great.... so far im loving it.... so im definately getting this one...

lol seriously... you'd have to see it for yourself...

the one feature i like... it recognizes which sites you go to the most and it puts them in your address bar... theres also a little avatar next to it... the arrows are different... it seems alot faster.. and it saves your tabs for the next time you open firefox...

those are just a few ive noticed... but trust me theres an improvement...

It already saves tabs. But sounds good.

did it really ? I always thought it only saved it when lets say firefox wasnt responding or something like that.... i never really got the "Do you wish to save the tabs" every time i closed firefox

Is it the memory hog Firefox2 is? If you open up a bunch of tabs in Firefox 2.* and then go back down to only using a couple, it still keeps the same memory footprint.

Have you tried to use any of the existing plugins / addons with FireFox 3?

I have a Safari-based Theme that I prefer to use, but I'm betting they're gonna hafta to rerelease it for 3.

Either way, I'm signed up and on the bandwagon.

Firefox > Safari > Opera > IE > Netscape

I'm going to download it, just to give it another try, but I know they haven't improved the things I don't like about FF (judging by an RC I installed).

On second thought, I probably won't bother anymore. I just upgraded to Opera 9.50, and it's just too good.

Im curious about this too, I moved over to Opera from FF2 because of the memory issues. I really enjoy using Opera especially because of the mouse gestures which makes navigating quicker. But, if the memory issues are resolved I'll go back to FF

Hopefully my Sirius plugin will still work with the new FF. That will be the deciding factor.

nope... im not too big on them... i just get a browser to browse sites.. if i need a plug in later on ill just download it but i wont even remember it later on
