And not only are Palin, her family, her supporters, etc completely worthless as humans, in fact, I'd consider them a disease that's infecting the rest of us. So yeah, I'll call Bristol Palin a as much as I possibly can out of nothing but personal vehemence for her mom's continued existence.

I've been saying that for years on this forum...in response to the liberals claim of em their savages, I also like to point out that most of technological advances that lead to the rise of Western Civlizataion were in fact produced by Muslims at the height of the Ottoman Empire, and the societal ones pretty much began right there in Iraq long before Greece even knew what an alphabet was.
But the dominant voice in Islam we hear is not one denouncing Islamic terrorism, it's Islamic terrorism.
And no one that truly wants to help that reigion ol the world should be underminding attempts to RE-establish Democracy and representative government in that region of the world...I don't think that region of the world ed itself...it had a great deal of help, and it's going to need a great deal of help to fix it, and pulling out of Iraq right after going would have made matters worse, and left the resulting portion of the population that didn't hate us for going in, hating us for leaving after the blowing the out of their country.

Its a very complex situation, and certainly would be a gamble at this time. 4-5 years down the road I wouldn't mind helping the Iranian people out if there was some kind of uprising. Sadly though, with our economy and in an attempt to repair our foreign image, liberating the Iranians wouldn't be in our best interest as of right now.

We don't have to do anything directly to Iran, there are two fledgling Democracies on it's major borders, the stronger they grow the weaker the Theocracy in Iran becomes for a variety of reasons, main one being the citizenry being able to look across the border at the humanitarian rights the Democracies grant their neighbors that they lack.
You're already seeing it now. I don't think there was ever a way to win a conventional war with Iran, especially without going into Iraq first. They have a huge military. We'd have a to kill a third of their population to defeat their army. If that's what you have to do you might as well just utilize an air war that sends the country back to the stone age and does absolutely nothing else, or a nuclear one.
The two Democracies surrounding it and the resistance movements are the least destructive ways to get rid of that Theocracy...
