I hope your team wins a championship one day, just so I can start respecting you Mavs fans and your junior varsity team your support up there in Big D. And by championship I mean the Naismith not the regular season chumps banner!
holy I didn't know that
LOL how embarrassing
I hope your team wins a championship one day, just so I can start respecting you Mavs fans and your junior varsity team your support up there in Big D. And by championship I mean the Naismith not the regular season chumps banner!
Damn, that looks good. I want that.
Oh its very true. They played the Warriors the first game of the next season, but waited till the next game after to actually unfurl the one banner they have hanging from the rafters. Isn't that right Mavericks fans? Anyone of you can pipe up and let people know I am not lying.
That never happened.
Not true. Get your facts straight.
ok had to look it up. This is what happened:
"Dallas led 27-26 after a closely contested first quarter. Nowitzki scored eight points on 4-5 field goal shooting. TNT's Craig Sager reported that the Mavericks originally planned to raise their Western Conference Championship banner on opening night but owner Mark Cuban decided to delay the ceremony until Monday's game against Golden State. Some speculate that Cuban did not want to fire up the Spurs but he insisted that the reason was simply marketing: the Spurs game would sell out no matter what and the banner ceremony would boost attendance for the Warriors' game."

You said they were "too embarrassed" to raise a banner in their first game against the Golden State Warriors after the Warriors beat them in the 2007 playoffs. That never happened. Get your facts straight.
In any event, this thread is about the Mavs being fourth in the Power Rankings, not the Spurs struggling to qualify for the playoffs.
yeah, mavfan is correct. Seems mavs were embarrased to raise it vs. Spurs and decided to raise it vs. Warriors who hadn't beaten them yet. (they lost both games btw)
Actually, it's about the Spurs having 4 rings and the Mavericks not getting any respect from some random poster on spurstalk.
Close enough. Happened a few seasons back and i dont give enough of a damn about the Mavericks to follow them closely to always get my facts about them straight. Still embarassing that your team did not raise that beloved regular season champs banner against 4X NBA Champions and waited till after.
We are all random posters but SOME of us can go down to our local NBA team's arena and actually feast our eyes on NBA Championship trophies. Some not all.
Which is why you're posting repeatedly in this thread, because you don't give enough of a damn about the Mavericks.![]()
You actually do that? That's pathetic.
As always.
lol spurfan. Back peddle faster
I would even wager a bet that fans of the Oklahoma City Thunder just might experience the euphoria of actually winning the championship before you Mavs fans ever do.
Would one spurfan please be this mother ers friend. Hes trying his damn hardest here.
That's probably a good idea. No point saving it for anything.
I'm sure that after 07, mav fans and Warriors fans became best buddies
