an inexperienced team who they matched up well with
Jayson Tatum hasn't grown up.. now he is a grown man
an inexperienced team who they matched up well with
Mainly because Wolves were awful tbh
ANT got way too much pressure and 1st exp/learning
Gobert was a matchup nightnare for them but their coaches didn't have the balls to bench him.
Again the overall level of this post season is amazingly weak. There are no big teams nor reliable top players nowadays
Wemby has an avenue in front of him.
These playoffs fell off a cliff after the second round. Cant recall a meaningful compe ive game after.
Congrats Derrick!!
So the Celtics have won the NBA le
Omg our Derick White has won it all hehehehe
Whiteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee is a champ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Perhaps he should return now hmmmmm
omg i want this feeling again, of winningn it all
Celticcccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc green lording it all this year
hmmmmmmm
hmmmmmmm
Professor Jaylen Brown, the resident genius wins Finals MVP
Who can challenge the Celtics in the East? Might be a dynastic team forming.
The West is so matchup driven, Denver would've beaten Dallas I believe. Wemby with some 2-way, high-IQ switchable players will be the blueprint for the Spurs if I were to guess.
Castle, Risacher, Williams, Buzelis (?) and Holland (?) fit that mold to some degree. The draft can't come soon enough.
Lmao, for real. I'm not a betting man, but the sheer amount of "Mavs in 6" posts after their WCF win had me tempted...
On a separate note, hopefully watching this Finals is the final push for the Spurs FO to start accelerating the process and consolidating assets to build a compe ive team around Wemby.
I'm officially on the " the '25 draft class" train, tbh. Draft some competent rookies, get a starting level wing off a trade or w/e, and let's get cooking. Not just the West, but the entire NBA seems to be wide open right now, and most teams either don't have a Wemby-level talent or, like Dallas, don't have the assets to build a fleshed out team around them.
Next year is going to be quite interesting to watch.
We haven’t had a repeat champion since 2018. Harder to say if Boston will form a dynasty. They’re definitely the best team in the east because Milwaukee took a major step back, Knicks are the Knicks, Cavs might lose Mitc , Embiid can’t stay healthy. The Heat can be there if they stop finishing in the bottom half of the East playoffs. So pacers or magic?
Spurs are lucky to have Wemby, the nba has so much parity right now.
Too early to tell how teams will be for next year.
There will be trades and drafted players that will change teams.
but but but they're going to give a max contract to Playoff Pee.
Watch out.
Feels like Wemby should get a share of the playoff winnings from Boston for knocking Denver into Minnesota's bracket, because no way the Celtics with Porzingis only playing two games would have had any answer for Jokic and the Nuggets.
D White and Jrue combined for 8 offensive rebounds in game 5. That was impressive. White led the team in blocks for the finals. Two glue guys who don't have any glaring weaknesses, but also--outside of defense-- don't have overly glaring strengths either. Milwaukee traded Jrue because he wasn't enough of an offensive creator and San Antonio traded Derrick because he wasn't a #1 or #2 option on a future potential championship team. Every team is built differently-- even if the direct plan being followed is from another team's make up-- and it'll be interesting to see what the Spurs come up with because Wemby is so different from any player in the past.
I'm in the trying to get a high pick with out own in 25 and hope they can challenge for a playoff spot, but definitely don't want to move Atlanta's 25 nor their 26 swap unless I get something really big in trade out of it.
