Poor Salah, the thug Ramos ruined everything tbh
I never understood why a team accomplishment would disproportionately favor one player for an individual award
As of now I'd still pick Salah for ballin d'or
Legit question..
Liverpool had 8 attemps with Salah in the game and only 3 without him.
They looked so flat and lost.
Its the same thing that happened in the Roma vs Liverpool first leg game.
Ofcourse the talk is always about Salah is just part of the clog etc.
Ronaldo 6 Ballon dor Messi 5

Most teams making it far in these tournaments would have 1 or 2 super stars and a few others who are stars on their own right, plus some role players filling in positions.
For Madrid you have Ronaldo as the super star but they also have several stars (Kroos, Modric, Marcelo, Ramos, Isco) who can deliver a game. The role players help balance the rest of the team. If the super star (in this case Ronaldo) doesn't play then it's supposedly easier for the other team to play and beat them. Super stars may also change a game with a key play.
Soccer has always been a superstart sport at this level of compe ion.
