Italy lost captain Cannavaro so they've got an uphill battle, plus they're in the Group of Death with France, che non salta e un Francese,
Romania, and Netherlands. They never surprise though, Italy can go on a tear and win the group and the EURO le or they can crash and burn and go home 0-3.


It will be a challenge for them but I don't see them winning the cup as much as I'd like it. EURO really is always full of surprises like Greece last time out beating Portugal in Portugal. I would bet that Germany would do good and favor them as of now. Czech Republic is tough always.

I'll be rooting for Greece, Turkey, and Czech Republic, but I think Portugal or Spain will win it. I also think Italy will make it out of the Group of Death with France.

Switzerland v Czech Republic next followed by Portugal v Turkey later on ESPN CLassic and ESPN Deportes. It's nice of ESPN to think College Baseball is more important than Euro 2008.

I hope Germany plays a good tournament. Game 1 will show how good they really are. They sucked the last 2 exhibition games. I am looking forward to it.

Czechs are beating Switzerland 1 nil. The hosts squandered alot of chances here in this match. You can't do that with a dangerous team like the Czech republic.
