Who's been to the Middle East?

Just wondering who on here has been to the Middle East for any significant amount of time, at least 6 months?

I'm just trying to gauge the expertise of those on here who like to say things like we're losing or "slaughtering" innocent civilians in Iraq/Afghanistan.

Everyone has their opinions about the war but when you cant even give any credit for any success over there then I think it does show what you really think of your country. Too blinded by hate.

I served and spent some time over there, all i remember is it was hot as , the food sucked, getting pussy put your life at risk and i thought of nothing else other than going home. No doubts innocents have been slaughtered but i believe a lot of it is in a defensive fashion, i dont think we are just going door to door just to kill innocent civilians but happens during war.
