Jacobsen's shooting is all he brings to the table, but if i recall my readings correctly, hes damn good at it.
As Griz are trying to land a restricted free agent (maybe Ben Gordon's the next offer sheet?) all periphery players are expendable. Casey Jacobsen available.
Jacobsen and former Spur summer leaguer Andre Brown's rights were renounced today by the Griz. Could be Europe bound, perhaps. Jacobsen could be a cheap shooter but he doesn't play much defense.

Grizzlies Renounce Rights Jacobsen And Brown
Aug 09, 2008 6:55 PM EST
The Memphis Grizzlies have renounced their rights to free agents Casey Jacobsen and Andre Brown, according to Inside Hoops.
Jacobsen, a 6-6, 198-pound guard, averaged 2.0 points and 1.2 rebounds in 53 games last season with the Grizzlies.
Brown, a 6-9, 245-pound forward, posted 3.0 points and 2.8 rebounds in 33 games for Memphis last season.

american shane heal like.
next.
Jacobsen played very well in Euro for Brose Baskets
Last off season he was offered a big deal in Turkey. He turned down more money to play in NBA
Might be best for him to go back over the water.
I'd prefer Andre Brown to Jacobsen. His D-league numbers the year before last were even better than Mahinmi's were last year, and he'd sign for the minimum.
Jacobsen has been an average 3-point shooter at best in his NBA career. Very disappointing. He lost almost all touch on his mid-range game, and for a hired gunner, sub-40 isn't very good. His career average is around 36%. Decent, but nothing worth keeping, no matter the team.
I will give him credit for his hustle, however. He can't defend a lick, and has zero athleticism, but he's a scrappy little player. Couldn't ever fault his effort. He just never found the touch he had at Stanford.
