No fail method
Walk then jog then run. Smaller more frequent meals. Lots of fruit and water. Cut out the booze. Cut back the sodas considerably.
Just wondering if anyone has dropped a good amount of weight or has some kind of experience with this. I need to drop a few lb’s more for health reasons than anything else. So far I have gotten the gym membership. I don’t want to shotgun it though and just run around doing different things because they look cool or it’s next to some eye candy. Also I am not a weight watcher eating, slim fast drinking, pill poppin’, stomach clampin’ sum . I’m not that 160 pound chiseled stud I used to be. I was slim and in shape but I didn’t do anything to maintain it. I was just built that way. Then I got hurt and had to take steroids, anti-inflammatory pills, etc. and then BOOM 100 pounds out of nowhere.

Don't eat ANYTHING. that method works 100/100.
This is what makes it suck. I always ate and drank what I wanted and it looked like I was always in the gym. Then I had to go and pretend I was MJ and some idiot wanted to play Bill Laimbeer and there went my f'n knees. I swear I didn't know what I had until it was gone.
Saves considerable cash too.
I hear ya. I was in decent shape and now I couldn't last 5 minutes in a half court game. I've been down this road before and cutting back the booze and sodas along with even just minimal exercise will make a huge difference.
It's called age. I used to be a running fool when I was young and during my military years I averaged at least 5 miles a day and was one lean mean fighting machine. But then afterwards it just got harder and harder and the metabolism that did me well slowly dried up and I began to gain the weight.
But I'm not on the health craze either though. I still eat like a neanderthal.
Its also called being single.
I was trim
then got some regular trim
the got lazy
then got single
then got trim again
now I have some regular
now I'm porky and lazy
yeah that sounds about right.
i dropped 40 pounds watching what i ate, drinking way less sodas, and exercising on the bike for ~30 minutes a day. i couldn't let go of the beer.
First thing you need to do is clean your colon....I know i know, your like, wtf?, but if you want to lose 7-10 lbs in about 3-5 days, then follow these links, one is for the diet, the other is for the product, I am not affiliated with either site, but the guy who wrote "stay lean 4 life" lives in SA & after taking a required class to get my LO's license which he tought, I learned about this program, it worked for me. I've lost over 20 lbs without excercising, I also used to be able to eat a huge mexican plate, or 2 or 3 servings of pasta, but after you do the program, your stomach shrinks & u dont eat as much..check it out & let me know...

anyone want to put some cash down and have a contest?
i always felt i'd be motivated if there was a cash payment at the end of the rainbow...
someone take a scale and lets have a gtg for our last feast!!!
That sounds like a good idea. Money is always a motivator. But how would we do it? As far as loss of pounds or percentage or what?
UUUMMMM I'll check it out when I get home. I don't click on the links people put on here while I am at work.
Run naked through a gay pride parade
colon cleanses do not really work unless you rarely eat fiber.
I can relate, although not to the degree of 100 pounds. Two words: freshman fifteen. Never lost it, and in fact, I doubled it over the years. So, I went from 165 to 195, and now I'm around 178 and falling. I'm not a drinker, but I used to stuff my face when I ate (especially at restaurants).
This isn't some magical plan, and it depends on age, body type, genes, etc... Anyway, just watch what you eat, and eat less and more often. I hate fad diets or the "holy carbs!" routine, so it's not about not eating the things you like, but just don't eat the garbage out there (fast food, processed crap that's ready-to-eat). Just be smart about it. Want a snack? Eat some fruit or something healthier than, say, donuts ( , I ate two today). Thirsty? Try water. And of course, exercise.
this is going to be harder than I thought. Here is what I thought was right. I thought the more stuff you ate with preservatives the better. I figured that since they were in there to preserve the food and make it last longer it would make me live longer too.
Don't feel bad: it's a common mistake. , I believed that too until one day my fell off (thank Baby Jesus for velcro). So, watch those preservatives a.k.a. p.p.poison.
The key I found was to exercise...yes weight training definitely helps but being active is paramount. Join a b-ball league or any sport of your choice. Also walk minimum 1 hour per day and start jogging when your conditioning permits it. You'll see huge gains and just remember to drink a lot of water and cut out the carbs. Also, drink Diet soda's if you can't stop with the cola outright.
my brother in law, cousin and myself recently made that same bet a few months back. we each put in $50 to see who could lose the most weight...we all had a pre weigh in and then set a final weigh in day...I lost 13lbs in abouyt two months...I did lose about 5 lbs in a week though just off of exercise and no sodas...but it only lasted so long cause I lost my motivation but I still one the bet...The first couple of weeks is always easy to me but its sticking with it that sucks makes it a challenge...I would be down to enter the contest...lets set a start date with a weigh in and an end date...Kori holds the money...big flap get your ass in it too so if by some chance you win you can buy your 360 and get smoked like a mouse on a grill...
Water no soda
just eat right, no crap.
Do about 45 minutes a day on the treadmill
Thats been my failsafe method.
dont forget the staples...
