Ron Paul is a libertarian. A fiscal/economic conservative and social liberal, and moderate to liberal in other areas. Not quite a full conservative.

problem with republicans slamming Obama for his several shady relationships is that the media should be carrying the ball on that. With the media supporting Obama, it's hard to attach him without having any backup.

I think the problem is that his 'shady' relationships are not shady at all. Otherwise they would really be an issue. I mean, the NYT carried it on his front page. The actual problem is that people didn't give a , because they were more worried about something else.
