The Spurs have now won all of their last 5 multiple OT games:

    4/09/05 -- at LAC
    4/10/05 -- at GST
    4/19/08 -- v. PNX (Game 1, 2008 First Round)
    11/5/08 -- at MIN
    12/9/08 -- at DAL

As the list shows, they've won 4 of those 5 on the road.

And they haven't lost a multiple OT game since November of 2003.

IMO last night was a big character builder and unfortunately it looks like Dallas isn't quite as done as I thought they were.

For the longest time, the Spurs held the NBA record for most consecutive OT games won (seven, IIRC). I don't know if that's still true.

That has to be one of the most important regular season wins in Spurs history. The Spurs win a double overtime game on a back-to-back after playing a double overtime game the night before. Of the Big Three, only Parker plays. And it was also Nazr's coming out party that propelled him to the solid playoff run.

    Agreed.

It's off topic here, but it strikes me that while it's easy to make a list of the greatest Spurs wins of All-Time, but it's much harder to make a list of the most significant Spurs regular season wins.

The 2nd double OT win in GST in 2005 would be one. Another from the same year would be the come-from-behind, Manu drops 48 win in Phoenix.

1999 had a few of them, including: the win at SLC in the latter part of the 1999 regular season; the throttling of the Rockets in Houston after the 6-8 start; and the back-to-back home wins over Portland and Utah on a May weekend.

There was a win in Detroit in 2007 that seemed to propel the Spurs on a 2nd half charge that saw them go 25-3 over their next 28 (and a 1999-like 41-10 over the last 51 (including playoff games)).

I'd put that game at the top of the list. If the Spurs don't win that game, Pop probably gets fired.

I found some info on the subject but couldn't find a source that would give the 2 OT stat. Below is from the following site and contains info about OT games in a regular season except for the stat on the Spurs/Hawks. Feel free to research further.

The all-time most meaningless stats are those "special occasion" stats. You know the ones like:

Shaquille O'Neal is 2nd all-time in NBA history in games played on Christmas Day, behind Oscar Robertson.

    or

Tony Dorsett has scored the most touchdowns on Monday night in NFL history.

Huh? How are these even considered stats or records when not every team or player has the same opportunity to accomplish the feat? Unbelievable.
