Dwight Gooden without the coke habit from all I hear about him.
He is going to force the hand of the big club. Do they hold him back or let him bust through.
Interesting decision.
I'm asking because I know he has spent some time in San Antonio with the Missions. All the reports I have read state that this kid is something else! He's 18 years old and throws 98 mph heat. The Mariners are trying to be cautious with him, but he keeps wowing everybody in the organization and they may not have any choice but to put him in the rotation of the big league club. Any feedback on this guy would be appreciated.

TLong, we've done a number of stories on this kid. He's actually a pretty nice guy, too. The funniest thing about his ability is he has this nasty slider that the organization simply won't let him throw in a game.
I kind of hope he stays in AAA this season at least until Tacoma plays in Round Rock in May. I'd like to see him pitch live once more before he gets the call.
