No, they cannot challenge the Lakers.
Right now they're feasing on the obvious worst team in the West right now.
Arguably the worst team in the playoffs not named Detroit
They're very good though.
Looks like we may have found the team who can truly challenge the Lakers in the West. That team is the Denver Nuggets.

i guess you didn't get the troll memo by timvp. You are going to be in some as he exposes you.
if the nuggets shoot 70% from 3's then maybe they have a shot. of course they wont have back to backs to use as an advantage
I ing said this last year whe nwe could have traded for billups. People were complaining about him not being as good but YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH BILLUPS.
Rockets with Chauncey would of been scary even more so than Rox with artest Im glad you guys didnt do it ...
We still would have had Artest. The deal was T-Mac for Billups + Prince (I think it was Prince). Can you imagine being a wing player facing Battier, Artest, and Prince?![]()
The Nuggets are pretty good but they won't beat the Lakers. I think they can beat the Lakers but David Stern would kill himself if the Nuggets came out of the West this year.
That deal would have been awesome for Houston. No doubt. And scary for the rest of the West.
We owned the Nuggets, too bad we're not seeing them in the 2nd round.
Billups
Battier
Prince
Artest
Yao
That would be one of the greatest defensive teams of all time.
Prince is good but has regresses a WHOLE lot 2 years ago I would of taking him for Lamar this year he has lost confidence in his j and his post game ... ]
Lamar is better than Prince and no way detroit makes deal like that without getting Battier he is from Detroit lopsided trade dreams dont work ...
Lakers will beat Nuggets in 7, thanks to the refs
This one has Lakers-Kings circa 2002 written all over...........
Nuggets are really good. But it doesn't help that I got David Wuss and Paidja Strokelotsofbricks as teammates.
i think you're right. we're going to see a Kobe-Lebron Finals and nothing is going to prevent that.
Mavs over Lakers in 6 just because of homecourt and the refs riding Kobe's D
exactly, Billups is inarguably a very pivotal gear for whichever team he serves. The camparation between the pistons and nuggests can perfectly illuminate that, so can the changes on Pistons as well.
The Denver Nuggets wouldn't come within 10 on their best night against the Lakers backups much less the starters. As much as you butthurt fans refuse to admit it, there is NO challenge to the Lakershow in the West this year. Denver will just be fodder like the other teams.
They have no answer for Gasol, no answer for Bynum, and they could put all 5 guys and on Kobe and he'd still get his. The only question is how many games will it take to
disperse of the Nuggets. Hopefully no more than 5 so we can rest for our showdown against Cleveland.
Um I have been here since 2006. I didnt just create this. Trying to snitch on someone who has been here over the last few years. Lame.![]()
So you're gonna tell me that if David Stern just let the Nuggets and Lakers play fair and square in the WCF that the Nuggets wouldn't have a chance? If Stern wasn't in the picture, the Nuggets would definitely have a chance. They would probably beat the Lakers in 5 or 6.
conspiracy theory?![]()
Eh...not really. They will have a pretty easy road to the WCF going through the Hornets and Mavericks but they will probably lose in 5 games once they get there. It would be fun to see the Lakers lose to them though.
Wow, that would have been some line up. I think Chauncey is a pretty good example of how numbers/statistics can be misleading at times.
really? 3-1 is nice but the 3 wins by 2, 8 and 2 points. 2 of the losses were on the road and 2 on the 2nd of a back to back.
owned? the teams played each other tough.
