STFU ! We go with this dude at least once a year. As a matter of fact we will charter his boat 7/17 so everyone will finally know what I look like. oh !
I just got back from a fishing trip with Cpt. Jon Fails. I was offered a seat on this guided trip so I decided to go. We made it to the spot when it was still dark. This guide is good! When we stopped and drifted to the the sand bar we could'nt see it. When both anchors were set and the sun came out enough to see the sand bar we knew it was within perfect long casting distance to the Reds. By 8:30 we had our limits with two oversized Reds 30 1\2 and 32 1\2. This was a my first guided trip and the first time I was able to use the big Redfish tag. This was a great fishin day for me. I'm in the middle of the first pic and I'm Eric in the other pic.

Nice He will put you on the reds
oh yeah. He knows his . We always catch with him and his little rootbeer grubs
We did some sight fishin after we limited, I missed on a trout. probably a 16" fish
Exactly what we were sight fishin with.
just 16? Not worth my time. I want to pull out a 10 pound trout. Did he still make you use his rootbeer grubs and did he change his line out or did you get backlash?
At first with the 32 incher i thought it was a hardhead cause it was swimming towards the boat. Than she saw me and the boat and absolutely took off. I was using his spinning reel setup with 10# test. Great fight

I love fishing for reds with 8 lbs test. Sounds crazy but we never lose any
No backlash when I was using his abu garcia 6600 baitcaster 20# test.
I was fine swimming and hopping that grub. Kinda like fast worm fishing for bass
I always got that one reel with the old line that kept birds nesting. I'd make him untangle it and he was getting pissed.
It must be the new 8# big game That is some great line. Super strong. I would imagine a great fight with the reds with 8#
yeah real simply just cast and reel it in right above the grass
I got a thing where the line comes out of the spinning reel all messed up while sight fishing.
He was pointing out the fish to the other guys while I quickly had to fix that crap whith the line. I re tied and stareted casting again

Take your used tag back to walmart, and for $3 get another one.
Just put the img tags around the url for the pic.
[img]your_pic_url[/img]
or click the insert image button, paste the url, and click ok if you don't want to type it yourself.
Nice Reds!
Dang I just noticed it's $500 a trip. I think I'll wait until I get my Hobie.
Damn, good times! I've only caught one redfish over 30 inches (32 in.) once in my life. About 2 summers ago. It was the only bite of the day.
If you go out in the gulf the bull reds get well over 40 in.![]()
Sal er Red and Spec fishing had always been a struggle every time I go on my own, even when I took my boat when I had it. My cousin caught a
11 1/2# Red from Braunig Lake I can't remember how long it was but 40 in. is huge.
