Ric Bucher posts on on twitter that talks have stalled
http://www.nypost.com/seven/06252009...15.htm?&page=0According to the same source that disclosed Terry Porter was about to be fired as Suns coach, the Rockets are leaning toward swapping Tracy McGrady's expiring $22M contract, Carl Landry and Aaron Brooks for Leandro Barbosa and Stoudemire, who owns an escape clause after next season and is demanding an extension this summer to waive it.

I get that Phoenix is trying to blow it all up, but damn. Don't they have to at least get one high draft pick out of someone?
Phoenix hate draft picks.
Heard on FoxSportsNews 790 in Houston that the Rockets and Suns are considering a trade. Someone make me understand this: Suns get Aaron Brooks, Carl Landry, and Tracy McGrady and the Rockets get Leandro Barbosa and Amar'e Stoudemire.
We don't need Barbosa. I want to hang onto Landry.
" Brief talks between Hou and Phx, TMac 4 JRich. Couldn't get #s to work. No talk since I'm told. "

Apparently so.
So in other words you don't think the deal is lopsided enough in your favor?
Wow this is robbery. The Rockets should consider this
The question is if Stoudemire is going to be healthy after his eye problems...
A duo of Yao and Amare would actually be incredibly interesting. Both have a very good 18 ft jumpshot, and both can do clean-up work inside.
amare might forget to play defense with his eye problems... oh wait, he didn't play defense even before.
I think Amare is worth more than McGrady and Landry combined. Robbery right here.
why do we need landry if we have stoudemire and scola?
Barbosa is good but I watched the Sun's offense collapse three years ago when Nash came out and Barbosa went in. He's turnover prone and didn't run the offense nearly as well as Nash. I like Landry's upside more.
Suns dont care what they get back its all about saving money
Agreed.
exactly
I agree, but the difference between what you'd get out of Amare and what you'd get out of TMac more than compensates. The rockets would be stupid to let Carl Landry get in the way of this deal.
It looks like he is, one player at a time.
JRich is the second coming of Michael Finley. Athletic ability declining, big contract, team cannot win, bad defense. Why in the world does Houston want the guy? If anything, Houston and Pheonix are just bad trading partners.
