I know everyone wants and is waiting for mayweather/pac man but i'm surprised there hasn't been more talk about this. it's less than 3 weeks away and should be a big bout. i don't like his chances, but i'll be rooting for mosley all the way. age isn't his friend at this stage but it would be fun to see him kick ass mayweathers ass. the HBO 24/7 episode that just aired makes my hate for mayweather reach devastating proportions.

    Floyd will dominate..
it wont be that easy....... , its not like Shane has to fear Floyd's power and if Shane can stay busy and kepp Floyd on the defensive, then he has a great chance. Kinda hard to mount any offense when you're on defense all the time ......

I like Floyd's elusive style and accurate punching to take over here after some close early rounds. He's the more accurate and skilled of the two. Shane is gonna fade bad late in the fight IMO..

Floyd is a decent sized favorite..

Mayweather is the obvious clear favorite in this fight with a payout set at -450, while Mosley is at +300. The over/under on rounds is set at 11 1/2 with the over at -365 and the under at +285.

Watching that show, it really is no joke with that testing. They show up whenever they want, follow you around all day long until you give them the blood and urine.

The way Mosely dominated Margarito I wouldn't be surprised if he wins this fight. Dude has gained serious pop in his gloves as he's gotten older and is still fast. I never thought anyone in this weight class would have the power to knock Margarito senseless like that.

The way Margarito kept coming at him and wouldn't let him rest showed that Richardson had Shane in great shape. If he can withstand that pressure, I surely doubt he should have any problem with Floyd's pressure.

Guess once they removed those cement slab from his wraps, 50% of his punching power went bye bye. Now AM can take a punch because even though he probably had illegally wrapped hands against Cotto, Cotto tagged him with some great shots. Shane is on another level as far as strength. Dude pushes 3 bills plus at his size.

So are you picking Shane?? Shane is still great but he is not what he once was in terms of his defense. He was never a defensive wiz to guys that refused to stand in front of him. I look at the 2 Oscar fights. This is prime Shane Mosley now. First one they basically brawled for large portions of the fight and it was thrilling yet not the smartest tactic for Oscar. And Shane barely edged it out, very close fight. 2nd fight Oscar used footwork, angles and his jab way more. Shane was lost the first half of that fight. He got it going in the 2nd half but IMO did not do enough to win. Shane's own father said "You need to KO him to win" in the 12th. Not long ago Cotto was able to outpoint him late as well. He outboxed Shane to win the later rounds. His fight with Mayorga was nothing to be screaming pound for pound #1 either. I think we may be basing too much about Shane on one fight right now. The Margorito fight was great but it was just one fight. I really think Floyd is the most talented guy in the sport. He'll be called upon to showcase all of it in the fight, Shane will make him. But in the end i expect Floyd to rise to the challenge.

Is it really possible this guy was illegally wrapping his hands for other fights and they never caught it? What the was the commission doing not catching it? And the fact that he is ever allowed to fight is horrendous IMO. He tried to bring basically brass knuckles into the ring that night with Shane. Cheating like that should not be forgiven..

I know i was thinking gee Floyd, how long does it take for you to take a piss???

I like Shane in this one. Just basing on the fact that i havent seen anything in the past (at this weight class) that makes me think Floyd can dominate a guy with this size and strength....unless you want to count DLH.

I think Floyd can dominate Shane by being elusive accurate and making Shane nuts trying to find him. I don't see what some say about the "hand speed being about the same". Floyd is faster and he is more accurate. Shane looked so great against Margorito but lets not forget he had a stationary target in front of him. Margorito wants to wear you down by taking your best shots and over-coming you with volume. Floyd is not going to be there for Shane to hit like that..

We'll see how it goes. Old ass DLH got a split decision against PBF based on voulme of punches. PBF might be good at being elusive, but im quite curious to see if he throws enough accurate punches to make it seem like he won the round.

I love Oscar but his fight with Floyd was not very close. Some close ones early but got blasted pretty much the whole 2nd half. I had it 8-4 Floyd. Oscar of his prime might have won that fight. Floyd will have to step up here. He is going to be pushed in the first half of this fight for sure..

lets say he gets pushed hard in the first half (like you mentioned)...wouldnt he have to open up a bit to try to gain the rounds for the second half leaving him more open for some punches?

Youre assuming he'll be behind. I don't think he'll be back, maybe about even through 6. I'm saying as the fight goes Shane may find Floyd harder and harder to hit.. He gets more aggressive and is counter-punched like crazy.
