Nice article. The more Boise gets the shaft, the more supportive of their plight I become. I wish Auburn would pick them up for a home and home.

Yeah...we're scurred
I was thinking the same thing but the article is saying nobody wants to actually schedule them, not that they're afraid of them right now. It's actually pretty convincing but I still don't like Boise St. and I think they're overrated.
extremely overrated...Any solid team would destroy them. Even the Oregon game was a fluke.
I don't think it was a fluke but I do know that teams can change over the course of a season....the way Oregon is playing of late, I would like their chances in a rematch.
lol or not. Just shows that anybody can beat anyone if you are not ready. Still a surprise though...Stanford

I am pretty sure Bama has that date open (9/3/11) from a thread on OB a while back. Maybe they need to call Saban out publicly.
(Texas plays Rice that day.)
I have a friend who plays for TCU. He told me UCLA, but he must have been mistaken.
Bosie can obviously beat some middle of the pack schools from the bigger conferences, but they can't compete with the likes of Texas, Bama and Florida, or any other teams in other years that are contending for a national championship. And don't give me the OU win they had. It was nice to see them beat OU, but anyone can beat Bob Stoops in a Bowl game....history has proven that.
Bosie will never play for a national le. Ever.
TCU has the disposition of being surrounded by elite, very prestigious programs from the Big 12 and SEC; meanwhile, Boise is up there all alone surrounded by . So it's understandable how they can fill their stadium so well
BSU's problem isnt their ooc games, it's their conference their in.
For the love of god someone put them in the pac 10 or something so this can be laid to rest.
word, It's the only game in town, no pro teams or anything, most of the fans didn't even go to BSU, it's just regional pride, and loving the national recognition.
Apparently, all the whining going on is more PR than anything:

First of all, while I don't doubt Boise has trouble landing marquee opponents, I wouldn't take that Benson quote at face value. As you may have read, the WAC has gone into full-on spin mode in hopes of placing the Broncos in a BCS bowl this year. The conference has even hired a p.r. firm to help elicit sympathy. So the timing of his "turned down by 10 teams for 2011" spiel seems highly su ious. First of all, just a few months ago, Virginia Tech agreed to face the Broncos in Washington D.C. next season, so why are they suddenly panicking about 2011? Meanwhile, Benson conveniently neglected to mention that the school is seeking a $1 million guarantee. That's a steep price to pay for an opponent that's by no means a "guarantee."
are teams' future schedules (to the extent that they are set) published anywhere on the internet?
Also, I'd love to see BSU try to schedule the independents, Navy and ND, seems like it'd be easier to get a team that doesn't have 7-9 conference games already set
edit: found a site, looks like BSU doesn't necessarily NEED anyone in 2011, they've got 12 games scheduled and what looks like a commitment to Bowling green, maybe they are planning on dropping that game or something.
next year's pretty good, Oregon State and Va Tech.
2012 will be the toughest yet, Oregon State, BYU, Utah, and 2 open spots, but that will be tough as we'll have a new QB that year.

Which is exactly why this is all just pissing and moaning to gain sentiment and thus BCS votes.
What a load of bull.
