Honestly anything less then a Championship would be disappointing.
The bar is just set that high. At least until they retire TD
Will we hit 50 wins?
A pall has set in over the forum, especially after the disheartening losses to Houston and Utah. A 50 win season would represent much less than what Spur fans are expecting, but a great accomplishment nonetheless. Where do you think the Spurs will end up in terms of wins? Do you think they have the intestinal for ude to hit 50 and keep the streak alive?
I still believe in this team, even if they fall short of a. I bleed black, and piss silver!!!!!

Fifty...right on the nail.
I think they'll hit 50, but not " yeah 50"
Just wanna make the playoffs.
You might should get that checked out.
I disagree with the premise.
50 wins is definitely not " yeah!"
60 Wins is " Yeah!!"
the season's not over til the rodeo trip comes and still no improvement to team chemistry
The fact that we're still 4th in the west is a miracle. Sustaining that seeding or higher would seem to be the name of the game. I'd be shocked if 50 w's would do that.
You've been watching too many re-runs from seasons past. 50 wins definitely qualifies as " yeah" for this squad.
I see this as about a 52 win team.
Me too...because that is about all the championship aspirations this team in it's current state has.
Sorry, I'm a realist. Based on the way the Spurs are playing now, and the upcoming schedule, they will be hard-pressed to even get within sniffing distance of 50 wins.
With Pop's new strategy of sitting out his star players on B2B's this year, the spurs will finally all be healthy and rested at the end of the regular season.
Too bad they won't have any games to play after that.
At the current winning % of .595 the spurs will win 48 games. And they're just finishing the what was the easy half of the season.
50 wins would be highly optimistic.
I think 45 wins might even be optimistic. A record of 44-38 seems about right. Even if this team gets some momentum going, it will be regularily snuffed out by the absences of the big 3 in B2B games which is throwing the team out of sync every time.
You are what your record says you are. The Spurs have developed consistent habits that usually do not go away as the season prgresses. We lose the third qtr almost every game and we have become a half court team with little movement on offense. I guess Pop is going to stick with what works but at what point do you say " it ain't working this time?"
What does he want from TP? I want more passes and less shots. Pop seems to want TP to figure out on his own on how he wants him to play. I know I am in the minority when I say this but I would rather have TP shoot less and have more assists because TP alone isn't going to carry this team.
I must disclose that I have always critcized the way TP has played and felt at time he has been too selfish in the last couple of seasons.
I think we are on pace for a less than a 50 win season. This team has done nothing to show they can sustain the level of play to compete for a championship. I hope they prove me wrong.
42... although 45 appears twice...
Couldn't go back and edit. Let's get some damn wins!!!!
Revisiting this after yet another sickening loss........
