Well, they are considering to ban them after all. Everyone is complaining. The TV station over here got so much complaints yesterday from viewers, that they are lowering the volume of the stadium sounds when they air the games.
Players and coaches complain that they can't understand and talk with each other on the field anymore. van Persie today complained to the ref that he could not hear the whistle when he was called for offside

Why does the race card always have to be brought up. Its not about South Africa or about race and racism. Its just about the vuvuzelas being annoying as . I dont care if people blow on them in Africa, Scandinavia or Mongolia, it's still annoying and people would still hate the sound. I mean, even many Africans themselves cant stand the noise lol
Has nothing to do because it is south african and being annoyed by them has nothing to do with the world cup spirit.
In fact, these vuvuzelas are killing the wonderful world cup spirit we are used to of african football fans. These vuvuzelas ruin the nice african dancing and singing and drums they always had at world cup games. I miss that. Now that was spirit.

Not really, I already got used to the sound and don't notice it much. Now I can definitely see it effecting the communication between players and refs and causing problems there.

Ummmm World Cup was supposed to be in South Africa in 2006, who got it....Germany. FIFA had promised South Africa the WC in 2006 , due to some "contraversy" Germany got....
don't get me wrong I love watching the World Cup, but FIFA dose do things that are fishy....ethier with Refs (blown calls...) Yes the US got screwed vs Germany in 2002, or way they do things, during a tournament.
It's just takes the Home Field Advantage away....

Wasn't there a time that the NBA tried to take the homecourt edge by not playing music loud at arenas for the home team?
i dunno why they even have the wc hosted in south africa or even africa for the matter, look at the games so far, they are not even filling seats in the stadium...might as well just let anyone in imo...
