What im liking about this season is we are winning the games we should win. Vs blowing those games like in the past couple of yrs. Now Ive said it before the season started an I'll say it again, "we gone win it all this yr". A another thing I've always said, " Matt Bonner is my brotha from anotha motha is nice". Yal was sleepin on that boy, but yal asses is woke now thanking god he did get traded! But I still hold my breath with every shot he shoots! Its early in the season but im proud of us for winning eary man! it feels great to be setting your self up for a good seed already man! An even Pop has changed his style of coaching too if you'll havent noticed. Letting rookies get burn, not force feeding Duncan while he's struggling, and letting the players just dam play! Im proud of him too!

Yea, we haven't folded, we are showing resiliency at the end of games. I love that. Now focus on some killer D, get Tiago some more playing time and we should go far.

The Spurs are #7 in defensive efficiency as of tonight, and the Lakers are #18. Noone's worried about the Lakers' ability to compete with the top 5 teams, right?

The Bucks are #2 in this metric, does this mean they're contenders?

9-1 definitely says good things for Spurs fans

The Spurs are finally back to winning the games they should win...hopefully they can keep it up, no more losing to garbage ass teams.

Last years spurs would have lost the Chi, Char, Hou and maybe OKC games.

And they'd be 5-5 or something. So yeah 9-1 says something

The article made me laugh probably because I'm a member of the grammar police as well. But the phrase "a lot" will probably be officially changed to the word "alot" within our lifetime (unless you're 80+).

Grammar changes with time, and so do words; the imaginary word alot is used constantly in today's society, and I can't imagine the momentum shifting. It may suck to think that a new word is accepted because people were wrong about it so often, but that is one of the main ways these changes take place.

For instance, the rule of putting two spaces after a period has been made flexible to allow for only one space because people made the mistake so often.

I think the difference is that if you are aware that "alot" isn't technically a word and still choose to use it, that is actually acceptable because then you are making a conscious decision from knowledge, rather than ignorance, which strips you of said choice. I use a few made-up words in my vernacular because I think a language should continue to grow and evolve, and I find it fun to experiment with different conglomerations of letters. If someone is critical of my word choice, I ask them if they knew what I meant when I said it. They usually say yes, in which case I point out that expressing a thought or feeling accurately is the purpose of words, not to adhere to a defined norm.

I just thought it was a funny comic (the whole blog is, really) and felt it was relatively appropriate here.
