-pop loves vets, especially dyess
-dyess is from the pistons
-dyess will receive applause when starters are announced
-pop will still probably play blair more minutes than dyess

This is a move I like for the playoffs. I wonder why it happened tonight though
tonight is Dice 1000th game + being against Detroit
Interesting if true. It was a move many were expecting to happen as the playoffs got closer but the hot start kind of made some skeptical to the move I guess. Still a move that needs to be done once the playoffs start imo, not sure what the reason for doing it now is unless its for his 1,000th game and all that or he wants to build some chemistry with dice in there before the playoffs start.
And he starts. Nice call.
1) game #1000 for Dice
2) playing Pistons
Ah, that explains it. This should keep people from getting too excited when it doesn't happen again this season.
Probably just to get Dice used to the starting lineup again this year.
I like it. Think Blair's better coming off the bench anyways.
Blair and Bonner should never be on the court at the same time during a meaningful game. Ever.
Yeah, seeing them in together so soon just killed any possible excitement from Pop's Splitter comment or his decision to start Dice.
This game, my love for Blair returned. I absolutely hated him in the starting lineup and he quickly became my least favorite player. But even though he hasn 't done anything this game, I just think he fits in on the bench.
do not like if it is permant
blair struggled early but fixed it
pop needs to go with what got him there
Like I said in another thread Dyess is the 2nd best big on the Spurs. Thats pitiful for a team with championship aspirations. Dyess should be no better than the 4th big and coming off the bench for a real le contender.
The Spurs have Golden State aspirations, and have for a few years now.
This. I'm cool with Dice starting, but Bonner and Blair can't ever be on the floor together. Thats just horrible post defense. Pop needs to rotate accordingly with Bonner, Blair and Splitter, so they're never on the court together. But that might be asking too much for Pop.
Yeah that Pop is just a total wad idiot we know.
I think Duncan-Dice is the best front court we have, so I think it's time they get some ramped up practice playing together. On the other hand, I agree that the Bonner-Blair combo is scary bad.
And still no minutes for splitter![]()
Who is supposed to get less minutes for Splitter?
I think Tiago will help next season but this year he did nothing to earn minutes over the guys ahead of him
