well, they aren't going to inherit wealth when the economic liberalization started less than a generation ago. And of course, you probably won't make it big in China unless you're a well-paying crony to the local Communist party officials.
and what about the wealth of the ruling political authoritarian class (no jobs, no company, no production, just stealing wealth with their political power)?

if u look at the commie countries, most of the rich are either related to the party or work for the state run companies, the private sector relies on the public sector through bribes and to get things done when that allocation of funds could be better spent elsewhere...
