Actually, any of these players is available now that their season is over.
Now lets get real. Some team pick this dude up cause he'd be a great asset for any team making a playoff push.
BEIJING -- Former NBA All-Star Stephon Marbury scored 41 points on Friday to lead the Beijing Ducks to their first-ever Chinese Basketball Association le, beating the defending champion Guangdong Tigers 124-121 in Game 5 of the best-of-seven series.
"This has been incredible; it has been an incredible experience," a tearful Marbury said after winning his first major le. "This shows what this team is made up of, everyone stepped up and everyone played their role. We have been blessed as a team."
Marbury
Video shows Marbury pumping up the capacity crowd of 18,000, and afterward, his teammates tossing him in the air before receiving their medals and the championship trophy, then cutting down the nets.
Marbury, a mercurial player who had a tumultuous five-team, 13-year NBA career, went to China in 2009 and reinvented himself. The Ducks, a young team, looked to Marbury, 35, for leadership and relied on his gritty style of game.
Marbury fouled out with 1:20 left in the game. Beijing's other foreign player, Randolph Morris, who played sparingly in four seasons with the New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks, hit two free throws with 21 seconds left.
Guangdong's Aaron Brooks (Houston Rockets, Phoenix Suns) shot a 3-pointer at the buzzer that went wide.
"We believed, we are a team, Stephon carried us the whole game, but when he fouled out, everyone knew that we had to step up to win," Morris said.
"It was our defense again, we blocked shots and we didn't give them the shot they wanted."
Guangdong was led by Brooks with 33 points, and James Singleton scored 29. Singleton played with the Los Angeles Clippers, Dallas Mavericks and Washington Wizards. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/77...e-league- le

Now that MSM doesn't want him any longer, I'm happy for him.
You need to update your sig bruh.![]()
Give me an hour and new material will be posted.
Starbury continuing to expand his empire.
In all seriousness I'm happy for him, there's obviously going to be skeptics and haters saying 'oh, it's china', but those are the same ignorant Americans who call NBA le winners 'world champions'
Yep, they're all available now. Him, Aaron Brooks, Singleton. We know Brooks is coming back. Houston could use him now that Lowry might be done for the season.
If I am the Clippers Marbury is worth a shot. Might give CP3 a breather during the season.
tbh it must be fun for NBA players to play in the Chinese league, it's prob like playing 2k12 on rookie level. The living in China part being the big drawback.
I was happy for him first.
There's so many flaws with that logic. Look at '04 for example. America thought it can send in any collaboration of NBA all-stars and it's an instant gold. What a wake up call.
When you start to think like an ignorant elitist that's when you start to slip.
It's the same mentality the Nazis had, and that got them far. Cool forum names and all.
^that swastika is still mighty cool.
I'm happy for Marbury, and I respect what he's done in China.
The biggest impact would be to put Marbury on the Orlando Magic. Then you'd have something with Marbury running the point and Dwight Howard down low. The rest of the team is solid.
You are stupid.
Good to know Genius![]()
Entering Thursday's light slate of NBA games, the Orlando Magic held the Eastern Conference's third playoff seed, with a three-game edge on thePhiladelphia 76ers in the loss column, and trailing the Miami Heat by six games. Barring a strong surge from Philly, or a collapse by Orlando or Miami, one can pencil the Magic in for the three-seed and a first-round matchup with whichever team claims the six-seed.
It's late March, so it's the time of the season when writers begin prognosticating the playoffs. Common sense strongly suggests Miami and the Chicago Bulls will meet in the East Finals, but at least two scribes have pointed out that Orlando stands as good a chance as any of preventing a Heat/Bulls rematch. "Orlando is the one team most likely ot break up a Heat-Bulls conference finals," writes ESPN's John Hollinger in his PER Diem column. "With its heavy reliance on the 3-point shot, Orlando is the classic boom-bust offense, giving the Magic a puncher's chance in a short series."
Ken Berger of CBSSports.com agrees, naming the Magic second on his list of "top five upset-ready teams heading into the postseason," trailing only theMemphis Grizzlies. But Berger makes a salient point when he writes, "Orlando is that rare team that's just as capable of being an upset victim as pulling one off." By virtue of owning the three-seed, Orlando could avoid the top-seeded Chicago squad until the Conference Finals, and could present matchup problems to Miami in the second round. "The way the Heat have been struggling since the All-Star break," says Berger, "Orlando could give Miami fits in a possible conference semifinals matchup."
marbury is a cancer and his success there only reflects how ty their league/country is tbh, that hold land is probably the only place where marbury looks decent tbh
OP is stupid as , btw
Any player who signs now would be ineligible for the playoff roster.
Only applies for players who have played in the NBA to be claimed off waivers. Not for players not currently in the NBA. How do you think the Rockets got Earl Boykins?

A player signs with a team after March 23rd, having not played for an NBA team yet this season.
Eligible for postseason: Yes
Example: After playing in China, Patrick Mills has returned to America and signed with the Spurs. Because San Antonio is his first NBA team this season, he'll be playoff-eligible, regardless of whether he finalized his contract before or after March 23rd. A player who has been a free agent all year long, such as James Posey or Michael Finley, could also sign now and be playoff-eligible.
