Sonics, big negative IMO for letting Nate skate, but at least they kept Ray (or is that really such a positive)?

Lakers for drafting Bynum (although they could truly have the last laugh on this one) and hiring a certain coach back?

Suns (if you are not sold on Thomas vs. QR) and who may well lose JJ?

Portland got a solid coach and seemingly about to do major makeover?

Other candidates????? Spurs? Is something earthshattering really in the air?

sonics. you win 50 games and get out of the first round of the playoffs... instead of building on that, you lose your coach. they keep an aging star, but might lose other key FA's too.

And which team would be willing to take on Ray's bloated contract?

I bet you his contract is backloaded. The older he gets, the harder it is to trade him.

They should have tried a S&T with Cleveland. They could have gotten a bit younger by adding somebody like Gooden, someone the Cavs would probably be willing to give up, and ridded themselves of Allen's contract. If they only knew that Nate would bolt. They would have gone about this offseason differently.
