(AllHipHop News) It was revealed in a promotional video released earlier today (July 30) that Jay-Z will serve as the executive producer of 2K Sports’ upcoming NBA 2K13 game, which is set for release on October 2.
With his Roc Nation and Barclays Center endeavors at full steam, Jay-Z has added “Video Game Executive Producer” to a constantly expanding resume that also includes multi-platinum selling rapper, minority owner of the Brooklyn Nets, Director of the Brooklyn Arena Firm, and owner of the worldwide 40/40 nightclub chain.
Although the full extent of Jay-Z’s involvement with the game is unknown, NBA 2K13 will feature NBA superstars Blake Griffin, Kevin Durant and Derrick Rose on the cover.
In addition to his involvement with NBA 2K13, Jay-Z will be opening the Barclays Center in late September with a string of sold-out concerts. He is also currently at work on his un led 12th solo studio album.

I had high hopes for 2k13, but now I have no expectations
at least the soundtrack is going to be much better. i muted every song except the royce n eminem song on 2K12.
Well sons why not? I mean the NBA has basically just been a big rap video for the last 15 years or so anyways.

Nah there is more than one good track. I guess other tracks on the listing just grew on me the more I played.

EPs don't do other than look at the product for 2 seconds and say yes or no. This will have no bearing on the game.
Hopefully it'll be more like Reasonable Doubt or The Black Album and a lot less like Kingdom Come, tbh.....

Look out for Brooklyn scrubs to be able to do in the game that they're not going to be able to do ever in real life. Maybe Kris Humphries will even be able to keep his marriage with Kim Kardashian in the video game.
Brooklyn will be rated top 5 ahead of the Spurs
