Whoa! This is fresh news and is now trending here in the Philippines. He confronted 2 refs, pushed his coach and teammate and then choke slammed another one! ugly!

Not to defend Balkman, but Filipinos are assholes on the basketball court. So I'd probably want to know what preceded the incident first before making a judgment that Balkman is solely at fault here. Wouldn't be surprised if it was instigated by one of the Pinoys. Maybe something racist was said. Idk, just a thought.

agree, but the irony is that the best team in the NBA has a filipino as the headcoach. balkman was a known asshole since when he was playin' in NY so it's no surprise he has a hard time getting along with asians who're especially racist against s. an all-time legend of this site worked as an english teacher in south korea a couple years ago and the students called him "monkey" more than just a few times right in the classroom. guess the picklebreath kids never visited spurstalk so they had no idea what a BADASS their black teacher was tbh

This is all about game frustrations as Balkman can't get a break with his game and was very frustrated in the referees until that play at the end. I don't know if something racist was said by his teammates but I'm sure it was not. he even pushed his own coach and another teammate. Balkman apologized to all Filipinos after that especially to that player.
