Would .448 FG% not be a career-high?
Kobe

.448 FG%

LAKERS have the ability to make the playoffs but early second round is their ceiling imho.
Would .448 FG% not be a career-high?

Don't underestimate the baby fetuses + someone will have to take shots on that team. Kirby actually did fine in the D'Antoni offense as it's a chucker's dream, you push the pace as much as possible so teams barely play defense, you get many open shots because defenses aren't set up, I think he'll do great and ESPN will be all over it, but what happens to the team come playoff time? I'd say WCF and losing to my Spurs in 4.
He wont go over 40% FG. He`ll unload massive amount of fadeways, pumpfakes jumpers, and without athletism they will be heavily contested.
Laker$ will squeeze into the playoffs with a little help from the ref$. The norm.
Only pussies & assholes blame the officiating.
Mathematical point of clarification: if Kobe took 35 shots a game and shot 38% from the field, he'd average 26.6 points with only taking 2 pointers (meaning that's with not taking and/or making any three pointers or free throws).
With Dwight gone and not asking for more touches and with Pau firmly in suck-Kobe mode, his scoring should probably still be in the high 20s.
I'll go: 38 MPG, 27.1 PPG, 5.1 RPG, 4.4 APG, 43% FT, 34% 3PT%
Of course, his numbers will depend heavily on how healthy his Achilles is and how many minutes D'antoni decides to run him into the ground game in, game out.
Isn't it actually better if the lakers make the playoffs?
He won't be the same player. 18 ppg on 41% shooting, he will play about 65 games max, and Lakers miss the playoffs.
It's "chase the scoring le" season, IMO... how far the Lakers go won't be the priority...
I feel as though he's averaging far more assists in your prediction than is possible for an ol' sport like Kobe Bryant. Perhaps a 2.3 is more likely?
24PPG
43% shooting
6 Assists

Lakers lose in 1st or 2nd round.
lakers don't have as good a squad talent-wise as the Pelicans but they will have Stern and refs on their side who're gonna guarantee them a playoff seat unless they intentionally choose to tank.
I think the real question is whether or not Bryant or Nash play even 50 games. I am guessing the answer to that is no.
Lakers will compete for the 8 seed until the final weeks of the season. I think they will barely miss taking the 8 seed by 1 or 2 games.
Kobe will get his stats (23 or 24 points per game).
There is some variation but overall, it seems that most people still think Kobe is going to fill it up next year for better or for worse. It is clear that Kobe is into his stats, but he's also a winner. Maybe not the best teammate but he is a winner. Will be interesting if he truly packs it in simply to stuff stats in favor of winning. I just can't see Kobe doing that though. Time will tell.
Bryant will probably put up some tosb numbers...I'd say about 14ppg on 40% shooting, 4 reb 2 ast, he won't even see the end of the season imho. his body is just done tbh.
As for the Lakers? lol yeah those old bags are done...they'll be lucky to see a day over 500.
