Half-Price Books is the !
How cool is it when you walk in, head to your favorite section and find three books right next to each other that you want?
half price books is awesome. How bad ass is it to pick up a frank herbert novel for 99 cents....ninety nine cents! Plus i got a copy of The Running Man for like 2 bucks
They never have the anything by Oscar Acosta or Hunter S. Thompson. They have popular , but never the obscur I like. I still enjoy their store.
Half Price Books owns Barnes and Noble
I think I saw at least one HST book tonight.
It was @ the location on Bandera/1604. Journalism section in the back, left-hand side of the store.
I have a lot of his stuff, I'm looking for stuff like Screwjack, 's Angels and the Rum Diaries. Usually, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and his recent works get picked up the fastest. Luckily I already have copies of those.
College bookstore are a rip-off. That is why I never sold any of my textbooks back. I'd rather keep them than sell them back for a couple of bucks. I guess the rely on broke ass college students to sell them back for beer cash.
Has anyone been to that old Just for Feet on 281/Bitters? It's a book store now, with nothing over $5. They're new books, too. Lots of computer books, cook books, etc. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
It's been there for about 5 months.
Half price books is great...I actually used gift certificates from them for last Christmas' stocking stuffers...everyone that got them loved it as well.
But I got one better:

The Big Enchilada.
I owe much money to the library
Half-Price Books is where I get most of my reading material.
I don't read much but sounds like a good place to go.
At the HPB on Broadway there is another book store behind it that specializes in obsucre and out-of-print books. That is if it is still in business. They never have the anything by Oscar Acosta or Hunter S. Thompson. They have popular , but never the obscur I like. I still enjoy their store.
The Acorn??
Naw isn't that a children's pre-school?
There's another little place like that that I've been going to since I was 12 ... she gives you credits for books you bring back in where you're done.![]()
The Flying Saucer right next door to hpb is pretty cool too!
Barnes and Noble > HPB
They have Starbucks ....end of discussion.
You're also a rich dentist.
If I really want Starbucks badly, I'll buy my books - then pick up a dead cat and throw it. Wherever it lands - there's a a Starbucks.
Well, we only have 2 of them here and then have 2 in stores.
I was rich, but Duff and my sports book have all my money now.

Maybe Duff can buy you some Starbucks Gift Bucks.
That would be cool.
Duff, send me $50 worth of Starbucks bucks a month for 16 months and we will canj it even..
Deal?
HPB is great for buying...if you can find what you're looking for. But they suck when you want to sell them books. They offered me $7 for 10 brand new books that were never read. I said forget it.
lmfaoI was rich, but Duff and my sports book have all my money now
Thats hilarious. THAT is going into my sig...
