Contract year for him. Not that surprised. He wants another payday.
Dude is looking straight up beast. At times I was like is this The Dream? Lol. But his career high was in Charlotte with 15 ppg, but in Phoenix in 06 he averaged 13, 7 and 6. Obviously that's going to be hard to do here in SA with so any weapons.. but right now he is averaging 12 and 4. Is it realistic to think he can match his high in points and rebounds? Could this be the best year for the aging former point guard?

Yep, contract year. Hopefully he can sustain this level of aggression for the whole year and earn himself another mle. Would bode well for our chances this year.
He didn't play this well his last contract year.
That may have been by design. If he's in shape and plays well, maybe he's a desirable ending contract in trade, instead of a buyout candidate.
He could have opted out this summer to get paid, he didn't because he wanted to stay. That said next summer he wont settle for chump change when they overpaid Splitter who cant even create his own shot... Basically RC may have lost Green and Diaw with this years' moves, two of the best players of the 2013 run for two of the least productive.
hope so tbh. let's not forget Diaw was MIP already once in his career. Dude can step up his game when he really wants to
