It's not an inch away that I stop. It's like 1/4 inch.
We have some sugar-free popsicles that Kori eats (:vomit), but she stops eating when she gets down to about an inch away from the wood of the popsicle stick. She says that the taste and even the smell of the wood grosses her out.
To me, the best part of a popsicle is that part right by the wood. You get that popsicle flavor with a dash of wood flavoring. Then you can suck some more flavor out of the wood. Kori says I'm crazy. I say she's crazy.
No one gets grossed out by the wood, right?

I think LJ's crazy, but, Kori, if you let the popsicle melt enough, it'll slide right off the stick and then you don't have to waste any popsicle. And you forgot the texture. The texture of licking that stick is the equivalent of listening to fingernails on a blackboard.
yeah I eat down to the wood......it's the only kind of wood I get.

I think it depends on the brand of popsicle. Blue Bell has decently smooth popsicle stick wood...but i've had some rough ones from some other brands.

Actually, I'm with LJ on this one. I like the popsicle wood.
I'm actually tasting popsicle wood right now. The part that isn't inside the popsicle actually tastes better -- it has more of a wood flavor.
