Let's be honest. Republicans never really gave two s about the American hostages that were being held in Iran. They were used just to throw more criticism at Obama. These Americans that are being released have foreign names and look "Muslim" to the average dullard, mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging American and I bet if they were to go to a Trump rally they wouldn't even be recognized as American and treated with disdain.

Democrat representative Brad Sherman here in CA is saying the 14 Iranians we are dropping charges against are successful terrorists who killed 85 people in Buenos Aires. Is this true?

Seems to be true, plus the others we released from jail. I'm glad the ones the Iranians released are back. Too bad they didn't let them all go. That being said we just proved to the Iranians we will swap 3 for 1 so now they have the precedent if they want to take more captives.

Someone needs to ask Trump whether the 3 Muslims among the released hostages - including the reporter and the marine - would be allowed back home under his proposed immigration policy.

    Link?

The Iranians had originally presented a much longer list of Iranian prisoners they wanted freed, one senior official said, and “we whittled down the list to exclude anyone for crimes related to violence or terrorism.”

Yeah, Breitbart hasn't even mentioned anything like this.

Interview on the local news here.
No. Do you have any sort of corroboration of his claim or are you just willing to believe him because it fits your agenda? And before you go into it, yes I know he's a democrat and I don't give a . I don't trust ANY politician until they back up their words with proven facts.

My guess is the 14 with international arrest warrants were tied to this bombing in Buenos Aires.

No. Did you miss the part where I *asked* if his word was enough for you to believe it?

As far as I know the White House has already denied his claims specifically. There's also the quote in the New York Times. The guy is full of most likely.

Sherman is the second ranking Democrat on the foreign affairs committee and has been very vocal about his opposition to the Iranian nuke deal. I'm sure he knows a little bit more about the actual details than we do.

What happened to not trusting any politicians until they backed up their words with facts? You are very quick to trust the White House and their mouthpiece the NYT.

The U.S. State Department said on Saturday it had dropped an international request to detain 14 Iranians on trade violations and dismissed charges against them as diplomats prepared to lift sanctions against Iran.

"The United States ... removed any Interpol red notices and dismissed any charges against 14 Iranians for whom it was assessed that extradition requests were unlikely to be successful," the State Department said.

I'm sure the Argentinians would complain fairly loudly if these were wanted terrorists who attacked Argentina. And why would the US want them for crimes against Argentina?
