George Hill is a good combo guard off the bench. He's terrible as a starting PG.

I agree, G.Hill would be an upgrade over Patty & can play alongside Tony which will fill a void when Manu retires but he would be a pretty mediocre starting PG like Patrick Beverley. The only reason I'm vouching for him is b/c Tony isn't getting traded, Manu is retiring & Patty will be a free agent.

Darren Collison/Hill would have been a solid replacement for Patty/Manu but Collison will never wear a Spurs jersey after serving a prison sentence for domestic violence.

I kind of do, but not because of what he brings to the team, but because then his trade would be one of the most lop-sided traded ever--even more so than it already is.

Jrue Holiday is my pick, he has Spurs-ish qualities & wouldn't mind Kawhi getting all the attention. He's also on the same timeline as Kawhi & should age well as one of the biggers PGs in the league. If PATFO sign him to a 4yr contract, they would essentially be paying for the PEAK of his career so he would be worth it as long as he's relatively healthy.

Not sure what this has to do with Georgie, but I'm sure amazed to see Livingston come back from that injury. Good for him.

I'll use this thread to post why George Hill sucks.

Stiff neck, stiff robotic upright dribble, poor peripheral vision, very little lift on his jumper, slowww release on his jumper, dribbles way too far away from his body, way way too right hand dominant, poor left hand, not a good passer off the dribble, poor 3 pt shooter, tendency to dribble around in circles like he's Steve Nash, slow paced offensively, often dribbles nowhere and hogs the ball, inability to dribble drive in a straight line, does not play well with a shooting guard, does not play well with a point guard, bad in transition, poor outlet passer, poor full court passer, does not make teammates better, poor overall awareness, poor baseline player, no power dribble, bad in catch and shoot, bad in the clutch, bad in the triple threat, bad pump fakes and always gets rejected.

    Think that's it

We'll that would depend on Patty's asking price vs Georgie's asking price next year.

Mill's is a better shooter, but Hill is the better penetrator and defender.

No way we go after Holiday unless we had a way to offload Tony's contract.

Considering we drafted Murray we probably wouldn't go after a premiere point guard until we found out what we'll get out of Murray. Maybe after the 2017-2018 season we will see what we have in Murray. That would be the same time Tony comes off the books.

    Bad catch & shoot:

His issue is that he's a beta & defers too much to his teammates especially when he's playing with starters aka he's the exact opposite of Gary Neal. He was very good in 2014-15 when Paul George missed the entire season after he broke his leg:
